Welcome to the 2024 Spring/Summer Edition of the Jersey Village Parks and Recreation Play Guide. As we move forward into the year, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the successes of our recent Fall/Winter events and share with you some exciting plans we have in store for the upcoming year
Firstly, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who made our Fall Frolic and Holiday in The Village events such resounding successes. The addition of the Haunted House to Fall Frolic was a daring venture, and I'm thrilled to report that it exceeded all expectations with over 500 visitors braving its spooky delights. Similarly, Holiday in The Village brought laughter to families throughout our community, creating memories for all who attended
Looking ahead, I am excited to announce a lineup of events for 2024 that promises to be even more engaging and memorable. Our pool season is just around the corner, and I must say, our lifeguards are eager to return – they simply can't wait to dive back in! Additionally, our lifeguard staff is gearing up to take another shot at the Lifeguard State Competition this summer
Two events that I am thrilled to introduce are the Concert at the Park on March 23rd, featuring the Willie and Waylon tribute backed by the Southern County Line Band, and our City's inaugural Youth Triathlon on May 5th at Clark Henry Park These events will bring our community together for fun and friendly competition, helping us create lasting memories and stronger bonds with one another. In addition to our event lineup, I am delighted to share the progress being made on our Golf Course Clubhouse and Event Center construction. Set to be complete this summer, this state-of-the-art facility will provide a hub for recreation and entertainment for years to come. We are excited to welcome you all to experience the facility firsthand.
I want to take this opportunity to invite each and every one of you to join us for our upcoming Founders Day celebration on April 13th and our July 4th festivities. Founders Day promises thrills and excitement with mechanical rides, fireworks, and much more. For July 4th, we are thrilled to welcome the National Touring Tribute band for the Eagles, "7 Bridges," to Jersey Village for an unforgettable performance.
I want to extend a warm invitation to all residents to get involved in our community events and initiatives. Whether you have ideas to share, a helping hand to lend, or simply wish to participate, our recreation staff is here to assist you every step of the way.
Here's to a year filled with laughter, camaraderie, and shared experiences I look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events and working together to make Jersey Village an even better place to call home

Carol Fox Mini City
New play structures have been added to the sand box. Next we will add one more mini city play structure to the sandbox in summer of 2024.

A mural will be painted on the concrete wall at Carol Fox Park late summer 2024.
Golf Course Maintenance Shop Improvements
The office and break room inside the Golf Course Maintenance shop was remodeled in house. Walls were taken down to expand the breakroom, floors were redone and was also repainted.
Golf Course Clubhouse and Event Center
Construction is on going and is scheduled to be completed in summer of 2024 Currently there is a targeted move-in date of April 2024, followed by a late summer 2024 move into the convention center. (Subject to change)
Pool Pump Room Upgrades
We have replaced all the old supports and struts in the pool pump room.
Golf Course Holes 13 & 14
The lake edges on holes 13 and 14 have been totally improved by cleaning up and removing all the Pampas around the perimeter. Also, the fairway has been enlarged in the landing area on hole #14. There are plans to redo the island near #14 tee box to make the course look better from Jones Road.

Jersey Meadow Golf Club is an 18 hole championship golf course located at 8502 Rio Grande in the City of Jersey Village. A brand new golf clubhouse has been recently completed that includes a new pro shop, two indoor golf simulators, a virtual putting green, an office complex and a beautiful restaurant, bar and outside patios. By the end of summer 2024 the second part of the project will see the convention center completed right next door.

The MGA hosts two events per month with a variety of formats. All events are handicapped and flighted.
Ladies Golf Association (LGA)
The LGA plays every Monday at 9:00am.

Senior Golf Association (SGA)
The SGA is one of the largest in the Houston area. Membership is over 250 members and is open to all golfers aged 60 and up.
SGA events are held every first and third Tuesday of the month.
All events are handicapped and flighted.

Last shot played is when the golf course closes. The staff will sound a horn and all players must return to the club house. Designed to allow golfers to return to clubhouse with safe light and typically 10 minutes after sunset.

Just outside Clark Henry Pool is the Jersey Village Splash Pad, built in 2018 and open for all to use.
Pool will open for the season on May 25th and will run until August 16th. After the 16th, the pool will only be open on weekends until September 2nd.

Clark Pool, located at 7804 Equador St., was built in features a shaded baby pool; lap lanes; a shallow end; a diving board, slide and Rock Wall in the deep end of the pool. Lounge chairs, picnic tables, and a covered pavilion are all inside Clark Henry Pool as well.CONCERT AT THE PARK
