Dromagh School Start Summer Strong!
Well Day
As is tradition at this time of the year within Dromtarriffe parish, we visited the Holy Well on O’Flynn farm. We visited Sheila O’Callaghan’s home for some refreshments afterwards, a welcomed break for small feet! Many thanks to the O’Flynn family for access to the well and to the O’Callaghan family for the refreshments.
Orienteering Day
As part of our PE activities within the school, we travelled by bus to Doneraile Park on the 8th May for an orienteering day. The day involved physical activity, map reading and problem-solving. Some time for discussion and team strategies was built in to try to complete the course the fastest. An engaging and recreational day for all ages.
Cycle Right Training
We had Cycle Right training initiative within the school over the last number of weeks. The children had a fantastic time out in the sunshine and rain (Irish weather!). During the training, the students go on short, instructor-led cycles, guided and directed on correct positioning and decision-making. Great fun by all.
