MTMN Digital Limited
Founded in 2026, this innovative software development company is helping businesses modernise their operations through bespoke digital systems, workflow automation and AI integration. By combining technical expertise with a practical, results-driven approach, the business has achieved rapid early growth while enabling clients to work more efficiently and make better use of their data. Tell us about your business and what makes it successful. The business was initially established in January 2026, became a real focus in March. We build bespoke software systems to modernise businesses, allowing for us to consolidate their processes and data, and automate their workflows to increase efficiency and reduce the need for repetitive administrative work. We are AINative by design, both in the use in our own code development, and the implementation into clients systems. We are quite refrained in the inclusion of AI in our systems as we want to ensure the use case is genuinely appropriate, as opposed to inefficient, inapplicable use cases as we see very often with businesses we audit.

Duhallow Organics
Best Food Business
Duhallow Organics Louis, Emer, Roisin, Niall and Aoife Moynihan
Combining organic farming, rare-breed Dexter cattle and a direct to customer approach, this Duhallow-based farm has built a strong reputation for quality, sustainability and locally produced food. Since 2009, the business has successfully connected consumers with premium organic produce while supporting local farmers and creating a customer focused model for rural enterprise. Tell us about your business and what makes it successful. We are a fully certified organic farm and raise native rare-breed Dexter cattle, as well as pigs
and hens. We have been selling directly to customers since 2009. This model cuts out the middleman and provides a more stable and sustainable income for the farm. We sell everything we produce directly to customers, along with produce from several other farmers throughout the Duhallow area. Supporting local producers is an important part of our business, and we are proud to help bring high-quality local food to a wider market. We sell through a range of outlets, but mainly through our popular bi-weekly meat box service, which is delivered directly to families. Over the years, we have built a loyal customer base that values quality, traceability and locally produced food. Our products are also stocked in a number of artisan food and health shops throughout Cork, Kerry, Limerick and Dublin, and we supply a small number of restaurants. What makes the business successful is our direct relationship with customers, our commitment to organic farming,
and our focus on producing highquality food while supporting other local farmers. By keeping the supply chain short, we can offer a personal service and ensure customers know exactly where their food comes from. Where would you like to see the company in 5 years’ time? We currently subcontract all of our processing to registered butchers. Over the next five years, I would like to bring some of this processing in-house. This would give us greater control over production, allow us to add more value to our products, and help support the continued growth and development of the business while maintaining the high standards our customers expect.

Through hard work, we have developed a loyal customer base, many of whom have supported us from the beginning. Dexter beef is a high-quality product that appeals to customers looking for great taste, health benefits, environmental sustainability and locally produced food at an affordable price. The fact that word of mouth remains our strongest marketing tool is something we are extremely proud of.”

Nature Connection
Cork
Nature Connection Cork, Erin Geraghty
Rooted in a passion for nature and community, Nature Connection Cork offers a unique space for people of all ages to slow down, restore balance and build meaningful connections with the natural world. Tell us about your business and what makes it successful Nature Connection Cork was established in February 2025 by Erin Geraghty and has been growing and evolving ever since. I began the business following my own experience of burnout and discovering how nature can support wellbeing and help regulate the body and nervous system. Wanting to share these benefits with others, I retrained as a Forest Bathing Guide, Community Herbalist and Forest School Leader.
Today, I design outdoor workshops and programmes that help individuals, families and groups reconnect with nature through Forest Bathing, Herb Walks and Talks, and Forest School sessions. These include public events as well as programmes delivered for schools, community groups and local organisations. What makes Nature Connection Cork different is the combination of Forest School, Herbalism and Forest Bathing expertise. As far as I am aware, there is no other service like it in County Cork. Rather than high-energy outdoor activities, I offer slower-paced, meaningful experiences that encourage wellbeing, connection and time in nature. Sustainability is at the heart of the business, with a focus on reusing, recycling, conscious purchasing and using natural materials for crafts, herbal remedies, teas and seasonal activities. As a solo entrepreneur, quieter winter months are spent planning, developing the business
and preparing for the year ahead, ensuring Nature Connection Cork continues to grow while staying true to its values. Where would you like to see the company in 5 years’ time? In five years, I hope to have a permanent venue on the family farm where children and adults can enjoy workshops and programmes throughout the year. I would also like to work regularly with local primary schools, expand my range of handmade herbal products, and complete my clinical herbalism training so I can offer one-to-one consultations within the community.

Eurostyles Hair Salon
Martina Buckley and Christine O’ Sullivan
A trusted name in Millstreet for more than three decades, Eurostyles Hair Salon has built its reputation on professional service, innovation, and genuine care for its clients. From expert hairdressing to specialised hair, scalp and wig therapy services, Martina has continually adapted to meet the changing needs of her community while maintaining the highest standards of customer care. Tell us about your business and what makes it successful. I opened Eurostyles Hair Salon in June 1993 over the Centra shop in West End, Millstreet, the same year that the Eurovision Song Contest was held in Millstreet. After 13 wonderful years over Centra I moved the salon to where I am today, still in the West End of Millstreet. All aspects of hairdressing are available
at Eurostyles for ladies, gents and children. During the Covid lockdown hair salons had to close for months at a time, so it gave me an opportunity to do an online hair, scalp and wig therapy course with Aileen Maher. In 2023 I started to offer hair, scalp and wig therapy in the salon. I offer private appointments to clients that are going through hairloss which can be caused by lots of different factors, including alopecia and from having cancer treatment. I can help with choosing, styling and looking after their wig or hairpiece. I have a selection of hair pieces and wigs in the salon to try on and I can order pieces in for the client. There are grants available from HSE Medical Card (€500 / €770) and Welfare Partners PPS No. (€500) for clients that have hair loss from having treatment for cancer or alopecia. I can do the paperwork to apply for these grants. It’s great to be able to offer this service to people who are going through hairloss. As the saying goes your hair is your crowning glory. If your hair isn’t right nothing is right!
“Hairdressing is a very rewarding career, every day in the salon it’s great to be able to make people look their best. It’s very satisfying to be able to help clients when they are going through their hairloss journey. It can be daunting time especially for the person going through cancer treatment when their hair starts to fall out, wondering what they should do, where to get a wig, how much it costs etc. I’m delighted to be able to offer this service in the salon.” Issue 175 October 16th, 2026 DiscoverDuhallow@irdduhallow.com

Sheehan’s Traditional Barber Shop
Noel Sheehan (Proprietor), with his wife Christine Sheehan
A relative newcomer to Boherbue but already at the heart of the community, Sheehan’s Traditional Irish Barber Shop has transformed the simple haircut into a warm and welcoming experience for all ages. With nearly four decades of expertise, Noel Sheehan has created a gathering place where tradition and conversation are just as important as the cut itself. Tell us about your business and what makes it successful. We opened the business in Boherbue on February 10th, 2026. Master Barber, Noel Sheehan has 39 years experience barbering, having worked in Cork, Dublin, London, New York and now opening a new shop in Boherbue. We’ve been told we are the first barbershop ever in Boherbue. We are an old school, traditional, generational, Irish Barbershop where it’s not just about the haircut, it’s also about the experience. We pride ourselves
in taking the time to get to know and listening to our customers and what is important to them in their barbershop experience. Our clients range from one-year olds coming in for their first haircut up to seniors. We offer complimentary tea, coffee and homemade cakes for the adults and sweets and soft drinks for the children. We also have a kid’s corner with toys, just in case they need some time to settle into the shop before they get their haircut. The barbershop, in such a short time, has not only become a place for Dads and their sons to come to, but we also have a lot of daughters who come along and hang out and colour pictures while they wait for their Dads and their brothers and also for people to just pop in, have a cup of tea and a chat. Our social media consists of not just haircuts, but also includes all of the kids, with their parents’ permission, highlighting some special and significant moments in their lives and what they have shared with us here. Initially, we wanted to create a memory wall of special moments that might occur in the shop. That has now turned into a picture wall for the kids and
“Our biggest achievement are our customers. Our customers are just amazing and we are so grateful for their support and for recommending us to others. When we opened the door on February 10th, we didn’t have any clientele and started out at zero. I started the business independently and have built it over the years through hard work, dedication and a strong focus on customer satisfaction. I provide professional nail services, mainly for women from the local community. My customers appreciate the quality of my work,
reliability and the personal service I provide. One of the main reasons for my success is the strong relationship I have built with my clients. Over the years, I have developed a loyal base of regular customers who continue to return to me. I know many of my clients very well and understand their individual preferences and needs.
