IRD Duhallow Welcomes Water Refill Station on Popular Local Trail

Delivering Lasting Benefits for the Community and Environment on the Boherbue Looped Walk Boherbue GAA has once again demonstrated its strong commitment to community wellbeing and environmental sustainability with the recent installation of an eco-friendly water refill station at its grounds. Located along the route of the popular Boherbue Looped Walk, the facility is available not only to club members but also to all walkers, runners and visitors using the trail. This initiative represents a significant improvement to the walking experience in the area while also supporting wider efforts to reduce waste and encourage more sustainable lifestyles. It is a practical example of how local organisations can work together

to deliver meaningful benefits for communities while promoting environmental responsibility. The Boherbue Looped Walk is a valued recreational amenity, attracting local residents and visitors throughout the year. Used by people of all ages, the trail provides opportunities for exercise, relaxation and enjoyment of the beautiful Duhallow countryside. The addition of a publicly accessible water refill station further enhances this experience by providing trail users with convenient access to fresh drinking water during their walks.
