MINISTER JERRY BUTTIMER SEES FIRST-HAND THE IMPACT OF RURAL INVESTMENT During a visit to Duhallow on July 23rd, Minister of State Jerry Buttimer witnessed firsthand the remarkable impact of community-led development across the region. From enhanced facilities in Rockchapel and a growing amenity park in Meelin, to the official opening of the Glen River Walk in Banteer and progress on Bweeng’s new running track, the visit
highlighted how government and EU-supported programmes are empowering local communities to transform their villages. The projects showcased the dedication of local volunteers and the lasting benefits of investment through LEADER, SICAP, CLAR, ORIS and other rural development initiatives.
