g Exercise in short bursts: Don’t put yourself off by taking on a marathon from the get-go. Build short work-outs into your daily routine, then gradually work your way up. g Use simple reminders: Leave a yoga mat beside your bed to prompt you to do a few sit-ups at the start and end of your day. Place a set of dumbells beside the kettle... g Re-think relaxation: Instead of binge-watching Netflix, why not take in a museum exhibition or similar that keeps you on your feet and benefits both your mind and your body? g Take the lead: Dog-owners spend literally hours per week on pet-related activities. Don’t have one? Volunteer at an animal shelter. g Dance! Spend a song or two on your feet. It’s one of the best – and most fun – cardio workouts you can do.
