WOMEN CELEBRATED Marking International Women’s Day March 8th is International Women's Day, a global day annually celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. It is one of the most important days of the year to fundraise for many female-focused
charities. Worldwide, significant activity is witnessed as groups come together to celebrate women's achievements and to rally for women's equality. The United Nations began celebrating International Women’s Day in 1977.
