Safety for ALL is a MUST

 If you feel unsafe in any situation, do not remain in close proximity to the animal.

 You may not be able to physically IPTouch an animal. Give clear homework and IPTouch guidance to the human handlers and bring a stuffed animal to give demonstrations. Carnivore adults may be more ‘reactive’ than Herbivores.

 Can cause Communication Tension Patterns: Jewelry, as it can change sensory information between animals and humans. No hanging items that can be mouthed, pulled, and then swallowed. Sunglasses should be removed to enhance eye communication and bonding. Perfumes may be an agitant and can call bees and flies! Long colorful finger nails are a no no… Long colorful finger nails..NO…

 Photographs & Videos will assist the IPTouch memory, help formulate IPTouch goals, and further awareness of the pet needs. A camera flash may startle flighty or visually impaired animals, so think before you click. A zoom lens is strongly suggested. Are you safe, is the animal peaceful?

 Troubleshoot IPTouch C.A.R.E.: What about exercise, snacks with handler permission during IPTouch, bathroom, medical care prior to IPTouch...Think about the individual needs of this pet.

 Tolerance & Weather work together…wind, lighting, thunder humans can’t hear, static changes in the atmosphere…

 If YOUR safety concerns turn into Fear & Over-cautiousness, animals will feel your discomfort and IPTouch will not be effective. The response will be an anxious animal that needs IPTouch.

Animal Emotional Tolerances

 Large Animal Safety: Wear proper footwear. Make sure they can see you or know where you are. Flies bite; fly spray is OK. Take cautions against head butting and tail swinging.

If your back is turned and you get nipped or the animal steps on you, it’s your fault.

 Don’t Overreact! Animals have a mouth to communicate with. They may gently mouth you to ask you to stop or change your approach. DO NOT REPRIMAND at this time. You are in their space.

 Balance: understand it and respect it. NEVER position an animal without asking first! The IPT AMCP will stand or sit as needed, based on individual strengths & awareness of animal positional changes. Hoof and nail care is a time for 3 legged permission. Is Parrot able to balance & eat using each leg?

 Bedding: Animals such as Rabbit, Cat, and Ferret may request IPTouch to begin in their “safe” place. Is the pet allowed on furniture? Therapeutic beds with body support for older pets are as important for them as they are for you. Farrowing Pads are rigid heating pads for outside living Pigs & can also be used for pet Tortoises. Be Aware: Bird & Snake may be territorial of their living space. How do you ask permission to begin an IPT session?

 Standing/Walking: Some animals may need to move during IPTouch. Ferret, Rat, and Cat may need you to walk during the Session. Use Animal Vibes and Positional Elongation with the assistance of gravity.
