Formaldehyde
This chemical is mostly found in nail polish and nail hardeners.
It can lead to allergic reactions, wheezing, asthma-like attacks, and in most serious cases, cancer.
Methacrylic acid
Mostly found in nail primers.
Frequent exposure to this can cause skin burns, irritation in the eyes, nose, throat, etc.
Ethyl methacrylate
It’s mainly found in artificial nail liquid and can cause asthma and other irritation. If you’re pregnant, it can also affect your child.
