MUSEUM TRIP

NATURAL HISTORY AND SCIENCE MUSEUMS, LONDON

A90 minute coach journey takes us to the Natural History Museum.The building alone (built in 1881) is worth the journey to see!

With the impressive ‘Nightmare at Museum’main hall, housing a huge blue whale skeleton suspended from the ceiling, the museum is the home to over 80 million specimens that tell us about life on Earth, the solar system and the Earth’s geology.

We can walk over to the Science Museum (next door!) Here we can see award-winning exhibitions, iconic objects and stories of incredible scientific achievement.

SEASIDE TRIP

SOUTHWOLD PIER

Visit the historic and famous seaside town of Southwold. Known for its iconically expensive beach huts, and the hometown of author George Orwell (Animal Farm), Southwold is a top tourist destination in the UK.

After a 60 minute journey to the seafront, we take a walk along the pier. Here you can buy fish and chips and eat them on the beach! It is a short walk along the seafront past the beach huts (which can be bought for up to £250,000 https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-suffolk-61396922).

We then wander through the town.There are lots of independent shops to look at and at the top of the town theAdnams store.Adnams is a famous Suffolk brewery and the shop here sells excellents gifts (no alcohol for you guys!) for any hosts or guardians you would like to buy a present for looking after you this year.

Take a short break from revision to visit the seaside town of Felixstowe.

We walk through the town and down to the pier. On the pier there are games to play and places to eat.After some time spent here we will walk along the beach to have an ice cream.
