The Sixth Form Boarding House is set in historic grounds in the centre of Ipswich, recently featured in TripAdvisor’s Choice Awards: “there’s no better way to get an immersive taste of English life… a destination that’s managed to keep its historical charm intact.”
Ipswich School is located close to the stunning Suffolk coast and neighbours the historic Christchurch Park with rolling lawns, wooded areas, and an arboretum.
Ensuite bedrooms in a home-fromhome environment
Shared facilities in the Sixth Form Boarding House include a warm and welcoming lounge, TV room, kitchen, IT suites and music rooms.
All rooms in the boarding house have ensuite toilet and shower facilities. There is a bed and desk and plenty of storage in the room with a noticeboard which students can decorate to their own tastes.
Meals are provided by our gold award-winning Catering Team, who cater for all food requirements.
Studying at Ipswich School
Ipswich School is the top independent school in Suffolk (Sunday Times Parent Power). Founded in 1399 it has a longstanding educational heritage and is the only school to be mentioned in one of Shakespeare’s plays. Our students achieve excellent exam results and progress to top Russell Group universities, including Oxbridge.
The Head of Boarding is Mrs Justine Christie. The Sixth Form Boarding House is looked after by Miss Rebecca Halford-Thompson, who is also Ipswich School’s Matron.
