Notification of the 11th IPSF AfRO Regional Assembly

Notification of the 11th IPSF AfRO Regional Assembly Notice is hereby given that the 11th Regional Assembly of the International Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation African Regional Office will be held during the 10th IPSF AfRO African Pharmaceutical Symposium from July 16th to 21st 2022 in Dar es salaam, Tanzania.

Credentials Form and Annual Contact Person Report All Contact Persons have received a blank Credentials Form that should be filled in and submitted electronically to the IPSF AfRO Secretary by 28th June, 2022. All Contact Persons must also complete and electronically submit the Annual Contact Person Report by 17th June, 2022 to the Chairperson of Internal Relations. If the Credentials Form and Annual Contact Person Report are not submitted to the AfRO Secretary and Chairperson of Internal Relations, respectively, by the indicated dates, the Official Delegates of the Full Member organization will not be granted voting rights. Up to three Official Delegates from each Full Member organization will be permitted to represent and vote on behalf of their organization during the Regional Assembly.

Members in Association, Individual Members, Observers, and Friends of the Federation are not permitted to vote in the Regional Assembly but have speaking rights.

10th RA Minutes The minutes of the 10th IPSF AfRO Regional Assembly have been emailed to Contact Persons for revision and information purposes. The minutes will become final only after acceptance by the 11th Regional Assembly.

Elections The following positions are open for election during the 11th IPSF AfRO Regional Assembly: 1. Secretary of the African Regional Office 2. Regional Media and Publications Officer of the African Regional Office 3. Regional Relations Officer of the African Regional Office 4. Regional Project Officer of the African Regional Office All positions are elected to serve for one year. Note that the Chairperson of the African Regional Office will only be approved at the Regional Assembly. The actual election occurs at the General Assembly. Nominations should be submitted on the IPSF AfRO RWG 2022-23 Nomination Form to the IPSF AfRO Secretary at secretary@afro.ipsf.org in accordance with the IPSF Standing Orders.

The nominations will close on 15th July 2022 at 23:59 pm GMT+0.

Agenda The proposed agenda will be discussed and, if approved, adopted by the General Assembly. The proposed agenda is as follows: 1. Opening of the Assembly; 2. Credentials report, roll call of delegate; 3. Acknowledgment of MOs with voting rights; 4. Appointment of the Chairperson; 5. Acknowledgement of Observers; 6. Greetings to the meeting and apologies for absence; 7. Appointment of Motions Committee, Meeting Scrutineers, Meeting secretaries; 8. Adoption of Agenda; 9. Adoption of Minutes of the previous Regional Assembly; 10. To receive and if approved, adopt the annual report of the: 10.1 Chairperson of the Regional Office; 10.2 Secretary; 10.3 Regional Media and Publications Officer; 10.4 Regional Relations Officer; 10.5 Regional Projects Officer; 10.6 Chairperson of the Reception Committee of the 10th AfPS 2022 11. To receive and if approved, adopt the annual reports of the Contact Persons of Member Organizations; 12. To receive and if approved, adopt the annual report of the: 12.1 Regional Financial Report; 12.2 Budget for the upcoming year; 12.3 AfPS 2022 Financial Report 13. Adoption of official statements and declarations; 14. To receive and if approved, adopt the annual report of the Chairperson of the Upcoming AfPS; 15. Nomination acceptances of the of the Chairperson of the Regional Office 2022-23; 16. Election of the Regional Working Group 2022-23: 16.1 Secretary; 16.2 Regional Media and Publications Officer; 16.3 Regional Relations Officer; 16.4 Regional Projects Officer; 17. Election of the Member Organization to host the 11th AfPS; 18. Any incoming motions; 19. Any other business;
