LIT in Cairo!! A recipe for a successful and outstanding pharmacist is a list of skills and qualifications that are acquired and not genetically inherited. A recipe that you will crave after tasting its outcome. Our recipe for this year is the LIT, resembling the pharaohs' strategy, planning, and other numerous skills. The LIT this year offers you the environment you need to learn and apply the daily needed critical thinking and emotional intelligence."

To the great pharaohs, it mattered a great deal to bury their treasures in the pyramids, which they thought would bring them to the other worlds." But obviously it doesn't matter to them now. They went, the goods stayed. "– Frederick Lenz. It's your turn now to choose the goods you want to leave in this world. Accordingly, we, today, are offering you the best chance you can get to be the leader you have always wanted to be and to serve your association in a way it really needs. LIT this year is paving the way for you through a combination of leadership, strategic planning, project and financial management that is to be presented by qualified trainers in a 4-day programme to qualify you for your upcoming elections. It is worthwhile to mention that the detailed programme of the LIT is mentioned previously in the 2nd newsletter. You can go back and check it. Baring in mind that it will take place in Cairo, you have an extra chance of visiting not only Hurghada but also experiencing the Cairo nights stuffed with self-investment, making you a trustworthy leader and boosting your self-esteem and working skills.

LIT is waiting for you, and we are looking forward to enjoying our time together this summer in Egypt.

IPSF General Assembly The Captain once shouted, "Avengers, assemble!" The crowd and the Avengers both experienced an adrenaline rush when they heard this line. Similar to this, the General Assembly brings together and connects various mindsets and personalities to accomplish IPSF's ultimate goal of transcending pharmacists globally. You can extend your horizons in the GA by listening to many points of view and gaining insight from them. It is amazing to see young people from different countries applying for positions, exchanging ideas, and developing strategies to make the pharmacist's role shine. The GA also provides a democratic and structured atmosphere for decision-making through voting that would aid in choosing the best decisions for the organization. As soon as official delegates are in place, you'll witness one of the most professionally maintained and organised events of IPSF's. The board will start by presenting the agenda, and then the main highlights will take place. From reports, updates, and even elections concerning the upcoming IPSF board. An insightful and fulfilling event for all those interested in getting deeply involved in IPSF's environment.

Discussions, debates, and presentations are also great ways for the GA to get involved and get a wider understanding of IPSF's operations. It's not just insightful but also entertaining to meet all those cultures making decisions. With that said, we can't wait for you to follow the captain, who in this case is the IPSF president.

Once in a lifetime Social Program

Three social nights to look forward to this World Congress in Egypt. Besides sessions, workshops, and competitions. The World Congress is still mostly about making international friends, discovering different cultures, and experiencing different worldwide habits. One of the main highlights of this event is the social nights, where we all could gather up and have some fun. Here are three reasons why you should look forward to it.

1) Auction Night Imagine having a book that is the dearest to you, it was later sent several thousand miles away to a whole new country for a whole new chapter. You're book, the one you bought and the one you've read has a whole different meaning now. That is what the auction night is simply about. Everyone will make sure to grab something simple, something meaningful to them, or anything basically. They will then be donated and all those donations will be held at an auction. On the other hand, you could be the one who randomly buys something that originally was been in thousand of miles away. Interesting, right?

2) International Night We can't skip such a HUGE gathering of cultures without actually personally experiencing those cultures. That is why International Night is all about representing our own culture. You could use food, clothes, traditional dances, authentic souvenirs; Literally whatever crosses your mind that suit your cultural representation best. We are thrilled to get to experience all about that night. Lastly, but not least...

3) Gala Night The official closure ceremony of the congress. A fun, emotionally roller-coaster night where awards are announced and celebrated. Everyone gets to celebrate the finale of the 10 days trip and say goodbye to the new friends they made.

Scientific symposium As the role of pharmacists in health care services is expanding all over the world, and to meet IPSF’s vision of developing pharmacists who can cope with the future demands of our profession, we are proudly introducing our Scientific Program, another unique, unmissable opportunity for all the World Congress attendees. The main scope of the scientific programme is "digital health in the pharmacy profession's future, prosperity, and innovative possibilities." with the aim of helping the attendees achieve the best way of using technological tools to cope with personal and professional development and deliver a patient-centred, improved, better quality health care service. Which is to be achieved by an astonishing combination of sessions and workshops expertly prepared by our scientific team to meet the educational requirements of the attendees, leading them to the initial steps toward meeting future innovations. including: This session will be your gateway to understanding the difference between digital health, digital therapeutics, and virtual medicine in a discussion that would clarify the role of artificial intelligence and examples of virtual reality applications in pharmacy. "The Future of Digital Health" Panel Discussion A different exposure that will satisfy the attendees' knowledge and opinion expression about how AI can serve to improve patient experience, simplify clinician workflow, and give us new insights into the nature of diseases. "Clinical Pharmacy as a Patient-Centred Approach" session: Clinical pharmacy is a growing field that ensures the responsibility of pharmacists in patient care. The session will describe the key communication skills and techniques required to conduct patient-centred care and provide information about health coaching tools, models for patient activation and health literacy "Automation and increasing patient engagement with remote devices" session: A marvellous part of our role is empowering patients to take control of their own health. In light of that, we will discuss posed technological methods to improve the regularity of patient interaction with remote devices, better understand patient experience and adherence, and eventually progress clinical decisions.

PD competitions

Attention to all IPSF undergraduate members! As always, IPSF’s major concerns are patient-centered care and patient safety. For this contest, all PD events will be conducted to feed your skills along with competitions that allow you to practise pharmaceutical skills efficiently. Simply, you choose to participate in any of these competitions based on your interest and needs, and you’ll become a competent pharmacist by competing with other members who are dealing with similar challenges and themes, including:

Clinical Skills Event (CSE):

Participants compete by using their acquired clinical skills in solving drug-related problems in the field of clinical development, as well as reviewing and augmenting their pharmaceutical knowledge, which any future pharmacist must master. 

Patient Counselling Event (PCE)

Participants gain the necessary skills and compete to quickly and successfully deliver the right information to their patients by demonstrating their medication counselling ability. As a result, we hope to improve the professional knowledge and communication skills required for medication consultation. 

Industrial Skills Event (ISE):

Participants gain an understanding of and become acquainted with various aspects of the pharmaceutical industry, such as marketing, research and development (R & D), and so on. 

Compounding Event (CE):

Participants will be able to provide personalised medicine and meet unique health needs that are not being met by currently offered mass-produced products. Stay tuned and good luck, winners!

An Explorers’ Call to Post-Congress Tour (PCT) Egypt was known throughout its history as a destination for tourists and travellers, and what better way to end your World Congress experience? We’re providing you with a memorable adventure where you get to pick from two equally gripping choices. Luxor, anciently known as Thebes, and today known as the world's greatest open-air museum, Luxor is home to an incomparable number of ancient Egyptian monuments. Amongst its highlights are the 3400-year-old Luxor Temple and the Karnak Temple Complex, the necropolises of the Valley of the Kings and the Valley of the Queens, and the massive stone statues known as the Colossi of Menmon. And here, we provide you with the thrill of exploring every single one of them. Cairo, "The City of a Thousand Minarets", is famous for its own history. No trip to Egypt would be complete without a visit to the conspicuous Giza Pyramids and the Egyptian Museum, situated in the centre of town, with its countless ancient Egyptian artifacts, as well as shopping at the Khan al-Khalili bazaar, where you can take a piece of Egypt back home with you. You’d also be enjoying a night dinner cruise on the Nile river, also called the father of African rivers, where you’ll get to try out the best of Egyptian dishes and enjoy contemporary Egyptian music that embraces indigenous forms.
