Pilgrimage of Hope for Creation
Saturday, August 2, 8am to 3pm
Sponsored by the St. James Care for Creation team
Visit to Horseneck Farm in Kent and L’Honey in Tacoma
On this Pilgrimage of Hope for Creation, the St. James Care for Creation team welcomes you to learn about two local programs that emphasize the deep connection between human labor and God’ s Creation. Horseneck Farm, located just a few miles from downtown Kent, gives access to immigrants and farmers of color. The visit to L’Honey, a collaborative ministry of St. Leo Parish and the Tacoma L’Arche community, is an opportunity to learn about honeybees, and to pray for them and all creatures created by God.

We will meet at 8am at the O’Dea parking lot to arrange carpools. Our first stop will be at Horseneck Farm for a 1-hour tour. We will then continue on to St. Leo Church for our time at L’Honey. After the two visits, we will have lunch in the Tacoma area at the home of a Care for Creation team member. Return to the O’Dea parking lot will be as close to 3pm as possible.
