Suspended between architecture and enigmatic presence.

Autonomous volumes and tactile materials compose a sculptural language.

No Time No Space

Even if the very idea of reality can be relativized and questioned, when we refer to something as true, as real, we usually anchor it to the present tense, to the here and now. This unconscious habit has been formalized in philosophy as Presentism. And if the twentieth century popularized the notion of a Block Universe, where the whole history of the cosmos must be conceived as a single, equally real continuum, theoretical physicist Carlo Rovelli, more recently, has pointed to Loop Quantum Gravity as a different intuition: a reality made of elementary quanta, linked in a web of relations. No time variables and no space variables. Those concepts emerge from interaction and transformation: what we call space is a measure of connections, and what we call time is the way those connections continuously evolve. Presented during Milan Design Week 2026, the new collection designed for Visionnaire by NM3, aka Nicolò Ornaghi, Delfino Sisto Legnani, and Francesco Zorzi, can be read through a similar shift. Not objects as isolated icons, but objects as condensed systems: materials, manufacturing processes, a shared community of intent, and a clear reading of the present. This collaboration is neither a detour in the studio’s ongoing research nor an unexpected episode in the brand’s evolution. It is an acceleration point, where NM3’s formal discipline meets Visionnaire’s craft ethos, and where both sides translate their identities into a precise response to the context we inhabit. NM3’s work has long been shaped by constraints, by the logic of metal and of raw materials. Here, those rules are stretched, sometimes deliberately broken, not to abandon rigor, but to expand it, as the original constraints give way to the codes of Visionnaire’s high-end manufacturing excellence. The collection moves across distinct families, from sculptural blob expressionism to a stealth, almost alien formal presence that evokes the dark cinematic atmosphere of Los Angeles hillside villas. John Lautner’s architecture resonates in the angular volumes and in a modernism that is not about purity, but about tension. At the same time a muscular presence enters the silhouettes, turning discipline into monumentality, and comfort into an emotional experience.

6

No Time No Space

For Visionnaire, under the attentive creative direction of Eleonore Cavalli, this collection emerges from a dialogue and a direct confrontation with one of the most incisive research-driven realities in contemporary design, such as NM3, and unfolds under the sign of continuity. The coherence becomes tangible in the making: stone is not treated as a polite surface, but as stratified time. Moltrasio and other Italian varieties split by hand, alongside one African presence, are worked through layered processes that combine powerful waterjet cutting with the restoring action of the hand. The special finish that removes the smooth skin in favor of geological depth, revealing veins as the visible trace of the earth’s movement. Glass follows the similar logic, and after years of blown and fused experiments Visionnaire returns to cotisso, not as a recovered fragment, but as a transformed process: successive fusions create a thick, carapace-like surface, archetypal and unexpectedly matte, resisting the usual transparency and fragility of glass. Even the soft elements hold memory and invention at once. The upholstery echoes a 1970s intelligence, built through articulated parts that follow the shell like a glove, assembled through hidden zips, bolts, and a structural felt layer that carries both function and cultural reference. The shell itself is the result of an unusual choreography between a five-axis robotic process and the hand of a craftsperson. It is a four-hands object, where human expertise and intelligent machines merge without effort, because this is what the present looks like: craftsmanship evolving, not disappearing. In an era that is moving beyond one that rewarded neutrality, this collection refuses cultural and emotional anesthesia. It proposes design as a space of freedom, and in that sense the collaboration becomes a statement, not because it seeks excess, but because it aligns value with a new measure of meaning: coherence, experimentation, and the courage to be unique, to be specific. To take a position. Like Rovelli’s loops, these pieces do not simply occupy space. They generate it, through relations.

With NM3, a radical yet controlled language takes shape – one that does not seek to impress, but to resonate.

No Time No Space

Shaped under the creative direction of Eleonore Cavalli together with the NM3 collective — Nicolò Ornaghi, Delfino Sisto Legnani and Francesco Zorzi — the collection unfolds through strongly distinctive presences, where each element stands as an autonomous volume. The pieces are defined by an almost alien presence and a stealth aesthetic, evoking the dark, cinematic atmosphere of the villas set in the hills of Los Angeles. Their sculptural language draws inspiration from the architecture of John Lautner, while an expressionism rooted in Michelangelo introduces tension, monumentality and emotional depth. Through Visionnaire’s mastery of materials and production processes, NM3’s design vocabulary is elevated into an architectural and immersive dimension: powerful, enigmatic and deeply atmospheric.

Within this setting, the capsule found a space capable of amplifying its radical and sculptural nature. Traversed by different languages and disciplines, the project unfolded as an immersive and curatorial experience, where autonomous volumes, alien forms and tactile materials shape an enigmatic landscape, suspended between architecture, object and installation.

No Time No Space

AXIOM table In the Axiom table, stone is not treated as a smooth surface, but as stratified time. Negresco marble is worked through artisanal processes that enhance its stratified and tactile dimension. The brushing process removes the most superficial layer to restore geological depth to the surface, revealing the veins as visible traces of the movement of the earth. The top, with its rigorous profile, rests on four Nero Zimbabwe supports, arranged according to a deliberately irregular rhythm. This precious magmatic material, characterized by a very fine grain and a deep black color, with its flamed finish accentuates its material appearance and takes on the effect of raw stone. 14

STEALTH bed The Stealth bed translates the design legacy of the 1970s into an essential, structural language in which every element is conceived as part of an architectural system. The Villanova stone bases, carved and finished with a hammered texture, emerge as primary volumes with a solid, material presence. The ebony bed frame introduces a glossy surface capable of discreetly reflecting light and intensifying the contrast with the stone. Balancing the composition are two softer elements — headboard and footboard — upholstered in leather or fabric, with padding that defines their profile without compromising their rigor.

STEALTH bench The Stealth bench becomes part of a narrative that intertwines memory and experimentation. The Villanova stone bases are carved and finished with a hammered texture. With their compact and material presence, they support the seat as primary volumes. The glossy ebony shell defines a rigorous horizontal plane — a continuous, reflective surface that enhances the dialogue between natural material and refined finish. Resting on this base is the seat upholstered in caramel-colored leather: a soft yet linear element that follows the structure with precision, outlining an essential and controlled profile.

20 No Time No Space

STEALTH small table With the Stealth small table, Visionnaire returns to cotisso, not as a simple reclaimed fragment, but as matter reimagined through a process of transformation. Successive fusions generate a thick, compact top, resembling a carapace — an archetypal surface, unexpectedly opaque, that subverts the conventional notion of glass as transparent and fragile. The top is composed of a stratification of three layers of cotisso, annealed and fused in the furnace, and rests on the base through brass studs — a constructive detail that makes the point of connection between the elements explicit. The bases, crafted in Moltrasio stone with a manually executed split-face finish, introduce a sculptural and monolithic presence.

BLOB chaise longue In the Blob chaise longue, organic fluidity meets a sculptural structure. The upholstery recalls a Seventies design intelligence, constructed through individual elements that follow the shell like a glove, secured by a cover. The caramel-colored leather upholstery rests naturally on the form, accentuating its sinuous and continuous flow. The black shell, hand-polished, develops as a carved and modeled monolithic volume. The structure originates from the intersection between a five-axis robotic process and the manual intervention of the artisan: a dialogue in which technological precision and human sensitivity converge, expressing a craftsmanship that evolves without renouncing its own identity. 28 No Time No Space

BLOB stool In the Blob stool, the organic component dialogues with a compact structural presence. The upholstered seat, with its fluid and enveloping lines, recalls a Seventies design intelligence, evoked through the combination of caramel-colored leather and the glossy black shell. The volume develops as a rounded, compact and continuous monolith, lightened by the softness of the upper cushion. The relationship between the smooth, reflective surface of the base and the warm tactility of the leather creates a balance between rigor and comfort. Blob thus asserts itself as a hybrid object — halfway between seat and sculpture — capable of condensing retro memory and contemporary vision into an essential and distinctive gesture.

CARTER outdoor family Carter is a family of upholstered pieces — sofa, armchair and pouf — designed for outdoor use and conceived as a modular system with an essential, structural character. The shell, crafted from folded, boxed and powder-coated aluminum sheet, gives the product a technical and industrial profile. The seat is assembled through brass studs that make the constructive detail explicit, transforming the junction into a defining feature. Resting on this base are the upholstered elements, generous yet rigorous in their geometry, upholstered in outdoor fabric. The volumes appear clean and suspended, supported by a structure that emphasizes their architectural character.
