n aesthetically pleasing look and a flawless finish always convey the idea of quality, regardless of whether the item is a product for which aesthetics is a high added value and a strong motivation to purchase or a component for which the look is actually secondary with respect to its intended use. That is why so many companies are now making important investments to ensure their products have a finish with excellent technical characteristics, such as durability and resistance to wear and corrosion, but also good aesthetic properties, such as gloss and stretch of the film. Quitérios is based 1 in Mira (Fig. 1), Portugal. It is one of those companies that, in their industrial history, have invested heavily in finishing equipment, as well as in the conventional production technologies for their products. The firm, established in 1972 by João Quitério, is a national leader in the production of

n aspetto estetico gradevole e una finitura curata comunicano al consumatore l’idea di qualità, indipendentemente che si tratti di un manufatto per cui l’estetica riveste un elevato valore aggiunto e una motivazione d’acquisto forte o che si tratti di un componente per cui l’aspetto è in realtà marginale rispetto alla destinazione d’uso. La Quitérios di Mira (fig. 1), Portogallo, è una di quelle aziende che nella propria storia industriale ha investito molto proprio negli impianti di finitura, oltre che nelle tradizionali tecnologie produttive dei propri manufatti. L’azienda, fondata nel 1972 da João Quitério, è leader
