CHARTING A COURSE IN A CHANGING SEA Tracciare una rotta in un mare turbolento: il tema centrale dell’evento OMC 2013

MC 2013 Conference & Exhibition focuses on providing a forum for information and technology exchange, to those people interested in the Mediterranean Offshore Industry. Started as a regional event in 1993, OMC has now achieved international status and is recognized as a key event within the Oil & Gas sector, with a particular focus on the Mediterranean Region. The figures of the last edition in March 2011 witnessed the presence of 1,203 delegates, 240 papers received from 22 countries, 12 official delegations (Algeria, Angola, Australia, Azerbaijan, China, Egypt, Kazakhstan, Mali, Norway, Qatar, Turkey and Turkmenistan), 10,483 visitors from 38 countries, 18,320 square meters of exhibiting area and 469 exhibiting companies from 25 countries. l settore energetico in questi ultimi anni è stato fortemente condizionato da diversi fattori: la crisi finanziaria mondiale, tuttora in essere, la persistente instabilità geopolitica nel Nord Africa (e non solo) e la volatilità dei prezzi, in particolare del mercato del gas. Nonostante questo permane l’impegno di assicurare l’energia necessaria al progresso economico, che richiede significativi investimenti, lo sviluppo di tecnologie sempre più sofisticate, ma anche e soprattutto il dovere di assicurare la tutela delle persone e la protezione dell’ambiente in cui si opera. Partendo da queste considerazioni è nato il tema che caratterizzerà la prossima edizione di OMC (Offshore Mediterranean Conference & Exhibition) che, con 470 aziende espositrici, 1.200 delegati e oltre 10.000 visitatori nell’edizione del 2011 si é confermato come l’evento internazionale più importante del panorama energetico italiano.
