President’s Report

Happy Spring! Erin Strieck, PGA | Pinnacle Country Club | President

I hope you have had at a restful off-season and are looking forward to a busy summer. I know as the weather gets warmer and the grass greener, my members are chomping at the bit to play some golf.

The Iowa PGA offers great programs for you and the golfers at your facility. From our PGA Junior League, Drive, Chip and Putt and the Iowa PGA American Cancer Society Golf Pass there are opportunities for you and that Junior Golfer to enjoy the game of a lifetime. All the programs benefit the Iowa PGA member, junior golfers and are sure to add a benefit to your facility. Let’s not forget the amazing Iowa PGA Junior Tour. Tess Goudy and her crew have a large schedule this year to fit into your travel plans with that Junior Golfer in your individual family.

Thank you to those host sites for giving up their courses for the day to entertain our junior golfers. We know these youngsters love the chance to play various golf facilities in Iowa and Western Illinois.

Every year I challenge myself to play more golf and to engage myself with our facility members…I challenge you to the same with your family, friends and grab someone that has never played the game of golf to play a round with you.

Anyone interested in enhancing their facility programming when it come to women in golf, please look at attending our 2nd ever Iowa Women’s Golf Summit to be held on May 22, 2022 at Stone Creek in Williamsburg, Iowa. If all you want to do is enhance what you do in your business, around golf, please plan on attending this interactive golf event with speakers, networking and some golf. Click here for more information and register for this year’s event.

I was privileged to be a part of the Greenside – Official Podcast of the Iowa Golf Association as Clint Brown the IGA’s Director of Communications & Marketing in February of this Year. You can go to this link and listen to “The Pinnacle of Golf”. Clint asked many questions of how I got started in golf and caught the “golf bug”. We talked about how this great career has led me to become the first female President of the Iowa PGA and the Iowa PGA Foundation and what the future is bringing to the golf in Iowa.

Have a great season and if you need me, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Thank you Erin Strieck, PGA President of the Iowa PGA Section and Iowa PGA Foundation
