Connecting businesses with the next generations of young talent Career.Cards connects businesses with young talent in schools, showing students the jobs on offer and the exciting career opportunities that are possible.

It’s about businesses demonstrating their intent to support the younger generations in our schools to invent a sustainable future through whatever career they pursue.

How does Career.Cards work?

A series of cards are displayed in ‘Career Card Stations’ in schools and colleges across the country.

Students can browse cards that take their interest.

Each card features a different person with details about their job role and the company or organisation they work for.

The student scans the QR code which takes them to the website containing a series of videos teaching more about what that person does and the different pathways to it.

Welcome!

Good careers advice is key to giving a young person the confidence to understand that anything is possible – many young people dream big, and that’s exactly what we want for our students here at The Marches. It is our role to support them and show the steps they need to take to get there. Careers events open their eyes to futures they did not know existed and that is why it is so important that we invest in this at The Marches to get our students thinking differently and excited about their futures.

A note from the Careers Team Our Careers Futures Week concluded with our annual Careers Fair. What a fantastic day it was!

This year we were delighted to welcome over 40 businesses into school, including 3 alumni to meet our students. The event provides our young people with invaluable meaningful encounters with local industries, giving them the opportunity to network and explore future career pathways.

A massive thank you to all of our attendees who showcased their businesses throughout the week and answered fantastic questions from over 1300 students!
