Model
from component 1 part 2
by Ioana Rosca
From those apple shavings I played around with it until I got this design plus I added these interesting addition to the exterior
The top of the building will be a bit higher, going into a cone shape

This is the structure but the building itself will have about 3 floors with many rooms
For this design I arranged the apple shaving on the table creating a more circular shape and it reminded me of a rose

The building wont be a perfect circle, it will be made from three different sized ovals overlapping each other
I drew the outline of the shape and then used different shades of grey that represent the pieces of the structure that are closer or further away

This is one of the structures I was able to design from the apple shavings

This design reminds me of a café I did which was in the King’s Road in Chelsea I did some some research on it and it helped me with the creation of this I used colour to colour in the structure which added some depth and perspective to it. Then I added some trees in the back to give a sense of scale

My last model will be based of this arrangement of apple peal

This piece is irregular and it has a more curvy surfaces

The added colour helps me see create depth and make the design get closer to looking like a structure
This picture reminds me of all the features of a flower

I think it will be a bit hard to transform this piece into a building but it will look very interesting.

I drew the outline of the shape and rounded it into a simple oval

From the first design I decided to add one more overlapping the first one and changed the position of them, and this is what I managed to get out of them.
So then I made a more coloured version of the structure where I added grey for where their will be windows and glass

This structure reminded me of lids
So the top of the building will be glass for extra natural light
I started off by bending the wires into the shown shape
Tensile model

Using wires, some material and staples I came up with these models
After bending the wires I have picked out a white material cloth and stretched it on top of the wires
This is how I think the structure I have made from the model, would look like in my location if drawn

I have made some quick elevation sketches
I have labelled all the materials and components of the structure to help me get a better understanding
Tensile model

For these models I have used a base of wood where I started off my model
Finally after I secured the wire I took a piece of white material and stretched it over until it covered the whole sculpture and then I used the staple gun to staple the material at the bottom of the wooden base
I have then picked out a wire and modelled it in different ways to create this shape
Next I used the staple gun to secure the Newley shaped wire on the the wooden base
I think that the outcome is very interesting but a bit overwhelming and complicated for a youth zone construction on my site
I have tried drawing them out to get a better understanding of how the structure would look like from different angles
