A Walk to Honor ALL Arkansas Cancer

Donna Terrell understands the impact of cancer. She feels its pain every day when something reminds her of Queah, the daughter she lost to colon cancer at a young age. Her mother and brother also died from cancers.
Terrell is using her status as one of the most recognizable faces in the Arkansas media to raise awareness about cancer as the emcee of the Be a Part of the Cure Walk on May 6, an event benefitting the UAMS Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute, the state’s only academic cancer research and treatment center.
“There is strength in numbers. This walk is meant to bring us all together to form our powerful army to raise awareness of early detection, screenings and cures, while also providing comfort and hope to those who need us.”
