Ms.Whittaker How well do you think you know Mrs. Whittaker? You may know her as a journalism teacher and awkward/ funny person. But do you know she likes to travel. “ I love to travel the country.’’ said Whittaker.

Did you know that she spent five summers in New york.

And her cousin works for JLO aka Jennifer Lopez. Her cousin is the designer for Jennifer Lopez and by her being the designer, she got to take a lot of sample clothes home. “ I got to take sample clothes. I had a lot of garbage bags full of sample clothes.” That’s so cool because sample clothes means there’s only one of that piece of clothing. Mrs. Whittaker got to walk around in one of a kind of clothes. Bet you didn't know that about our awkward but funny teacher.

Also did you know that she loves street food. “ I love street food, I like food trucks. Anything Authentic. Anything you can’t get in Iowa.” This is kinda a surprise because who would of knew Mrs.Whittaker the classy dressing teacher that likes to hike and go clamping, would enjoy street food. “ Its like cheap authentic food. You can get amazing taco”said Whittaker. “I feel like you can try food from all over the place.

Jump from one truck to the other.” “ You are not limited to one cuisine.”

One last thing I bet you didn’t know about Mrs.Whittaker is she love comedy. She been to a lot of comedy shows in New York. “ I love comedy and there are million of comedy shows in new york.” This should not be a surprise because Mrs.Whittaker is always being funny in class. She loves the comedian C.K. because he is honest and strange.” said Whittaker. And another cool thing is Mrs.Whittaker took a comedy writing class in second city in New york. Comedy city is a place where you go to learn to write comedy scripts.

No wonder why she is so funny in class.

There is more to Mrs.Whittaker then just journalism and being a teacher. She is a pretty cool person outside of school.

Homemade Taco Rice A fun and cool dish to make over the summer.Sorry if it the pictures are making the dish is unappetizing.

Taco Rice Ingredients 1(14.5 ounce) can chicken broth 1(8 ounce) can tomato Sauce 1(1 ounce) package taco seasoning mix 1 ½ cups uncooked instant rice 1(6 ounce) can black olives,drained and chopped 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese 1 cup sour cream (optional)

These are the few summer popsicles that you can make yourself, they are fun, easy and delicious; it may just take a while.

Chocolate- Dipped Coconut

Watermelon Ice Pops

Gummy Bear Ice Pop

-3/4 cup of coconut milk -3/4 cup of sweetened cococonut -1 Tablespoon of sugar -3/4 cup of chocolate chips -2 tablespoons of coconut oil -Ice pop mold

-2 cups of watermelon puree -1 tablespoon of sugar -1 tablespoon of chocolate chips -1/2 cup of lemon shebert -Popsicle mold

-Gummy Bears

Directions In a mixing bowl, combine sweetened coconuts, sugar, and coconut milk.Then pour in a ice pop mold and let it freeze for four hours.

Then melt cocolate chips with coconut oil and remove the ice pop from the ice pop mold and dip it in the melted chocolate, and the chcocoate will freeze on its own.

Directions Mix watermelon puree and sugar in a bowl then cover with any cover and place in the freezer until it is slushy.

Place chcocolate chips then mix and pour into ice pop mold.

Let it freeze for 2 hours, then add in lemon shebert on the top and let it freeze until it is completely solid.

Directions Fill the ice pop mold with sprite, then add in as many gummy bears as you desire. Sprinkle sugar, then let it freeze for 4 hours

My Love for Instagram Instagram is the best thing that ever happened to America. You get to post pictures and just interact with people from all over the world. Some people think Instagram is bad and not safe but it’s all how you use instagram. And there are some people that give instagram a bad name because they do inappropriate things on the gram. Im proud to say that I am addicted to instagram. I check my instagram ten times a day when I’m in school. When I'm not in school, I am usually on instagram for some hours. I have 3.8k followers on instagram (and yes I am bragging) I plan on in hitting 4k followers before school is out. I really love how lately instagram is updating a lot because they are adding more cool features and it’s making me love it even more. I used to be addicted to facebook once upon a time but ever since I got introduce to instagram, I dropped facebook like it was hot and moved on. I think everyone should have an instagram because its a great way to connect to your friends. But there is one thing I really hate. I hate when people try to hack my instagram. I get so mad, someone tried to hack my instagram four times. I wanted to call the police on that person who was trying to hack my page. I did realized that the cops can’t do anything and they probably would think Im crazy. As you can see I love instagram and I would do anything to keep my page safe. That’s my baby. Some teenagers have animals as their babies but I have instagram as mine. Like I said before I think instagram is the best and everyone should have one.

THE nASTY WORLD OF BATHROOMS Though dirty bathrooms may not be a big problem now, sooner or later it is going to turn into a big environmetal problem. If we do not do anything about it now, it can affect the world and the people negatively.

It’s 11p.m on a Monday night and I am awake from my nap I usually take after school. Why did I randomly wake up at 11p.m you may ask? I forgot I was suppose to clean the bathroom last night and the fact that I had to wake up the next morning and take a shower in a “dirty”, bacteria infected bathroom where i might possibly be able to catch a disease from a bacteria monster, not cool.

Pharmaceutical Science Institute, it was found that four out of six bathrooms tested were affected by the Salmonella bacteria because of unsanitary conditions found in bathrooms. Dirty bathrooms have not only affected people’s health, but also businesses, like restaurants, because 55% of people are most likely to review a business by the condition of their bathrooms.

The bathroom is the most widely used room, it’s used for: baths, to take showers, brushing your teeth, or fixing your hair and doing makeup. Even though you would imagine the toilet as being the dirtiest surface, the sink actually is. The sink has 100,000 germs per square inch, and the toilet seat has only 100 germs per square inch. With every flush of the toilet you send a six foot plume of bacteria that lands on open surfaces, including your toothbrush.

Not only do you need to have a clean bathroom, but you need to keep yourself clean too. Hygiene is very important to the human body, during a ASM’s Clean Hands Campaign 95% of men and women said they clean their hands after using the bathroom but only 67% really do. Though cleaning bathrooms isn't the most enjoyable thing, it can keep you healthy. So you can help yourself by cleaning the shower, scrubbing the toilet or sink, or just mopping. There many cleaning products and disinfectants that can help keep a clean bathroom, like Lysol.

Bacteria can be found everywhere, but people tend to not pay much attention to that because they think it is harmless.

N.Y.C Compiled& designed by Fanta Karembe 21st century New York City is a ball of diversity, fun, and uniqueness.This Apple city, brings joy and freedom to the visitors and the people that live there. New York city was my hometown, so in this article i will give you an insight of what the boroughs New York City really stands for.

With a population of 8.337 million+, New York City has five boroughs that center around the city: Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, Bronx and Staten Island.

Brooklyn (Kings County) it on the western tip of Long Island and became independent in 1898. Brooklyn is known for its diverse ethnicities, cultures,neighborhoods and heritage. Another thing this part of the city is known for is, Coney Island, this long beachfront is one of the earliest amusement in the country. On the topic of culture, like theaters and museums, the Brooklyn Museum is the second largest art museum to look at creative arts and the Brooklyn Academy of Music has an opera house and includes an art house too. The neighborhoods of Brooklyn basically just connected row of houses.

Manhattan (New York County) is the most popular borough in New York City. Times Square is one of the areas located in Manhattan filled with many department stores, mascots, and just unique people.

Bronx (Bronx County) is home of the New York Yankees where that Yankee Stadium is also located. The Bronx is the mostly known for its rap and hip- hop culture.

Queens (Queens County) is ethnically the most diverse county in the United States. Queens is home of many artists and rappers such as Paul Simon and a Tribe Called Quest, the theatres are influenced by Queens diverse communities.

Staten Island (Richmond County) is the most suburban out of all five boroughs. Connected to the Brooklyn and Manhattan is the Staten Island Ferry, the ferry is one of the most popular tourist attractions. The ferry travels through Ellis Island where the statue of Liberty is located. The island is also home to the Staten Island Zoo, that has 32 varieties of snakes and on its way to creating a leopard enclosure.
