across a variety of sectors including architecture and interior

design. Out of these, only companies which have excelled in every aspect of skill and expertise have gone on to achieve a coveted ‘World’s Best’ award.

From gigantic engineering and infrastructure projects by architects and developers to interior designers who have become trailblazers and standard-bearers in their field, there are many designs that have left the judges in awe. It has been an honour to see how styles have evolved, technologies have advanced and challenges propelled. There is also an elite number of estate agencies listed that are passionate about what they do and work hard to put their clients’ interest ahead of their own, and by that we are continuously inspired. Despite the current climate, we were able to put a new spin on our much-loved gala dinners. Award-winners celebrated each win with our new and hugely successful Red Carpet Gala: a virtual event commending each company’s accomplishments.  I  established in 2004 and is helmed by partners Nikki Hunt and Andrea Savage. Over the past several years the company has garnered a multitude of awards and accolades, at the national, regional and global levels, across the full spectrum of the design field including public sector, retail, leisure, architecture, office, product and residential design. However, the firm’s greatest achievement will always be the creation of environments that put a smile on the faces of its clients. The Bangkok penthouse bathroom redesign project was at the request of a client who is a bachelor in his 30s. The company was tasked with creating a bathing sanctuary, with requirements including an expansive space to include a bath tub, as well as a double vanity with good lighting. Design Intervention was also instrumental in re-designing the rest of the Bangkok penthouse. The client asked for

an apartment with a wow-factor, worthy of a Hollywood set with a streamlined masculine feel. Design Intervention was also tasked with the redesign of a London apartment, bought by a Singaporean-based family who planned to use it as their holiday home. They wanted the apartment to feel quintessentially English and reflect the history of the Victorian Era building but with a relaxed and humorous vibe. The apartment is on the first floor of an 1850s building and had been converted into apartments in the 1970s. It had not been updated since and the electrical, heating and plumbing systems all needed replacing. The unit is north facing, with the bedrooms opening to an internal courtyard, resulting in cold, dark rooms. The company’s challenge was to brighten and bring warmth and character to the dim rooms. Striking a balance between old and new, the redesign perfectly matched the client’s brief.

In 2016, the company started construction of a grandiose project called Taryan Towers in Ukraine. In 2019 Taryan Towers was recognised as the most innovative project in Ukraine and in 2020 the first tower was commissioned when the project was nominated as the best highrise residence development and architectural project in the European Property Awards.

  , Broadway Interiors specialise in unique solutions across f&b/hospitality, office, government, leisure and residential sectors. The company’s brief for its Asia Asia project in Dubai was to create a unique, authentic Asian setting, with a discerning ambiance for a multi-functional restaurant, bar and weekend entertainment venue. The project is located on the 6th floor of Pier 7 – a new dedicated sevenfloor restaurant building in The Marina. The design concept embodied a tasteful selection of finishes, rich textures, and attention to detail. As you enter the reception, you are greeted by hand carved marble foo dogs, while traditional Chinese decoration techniques adorn the walls. The VIP Shanghai Lounge conveys sophistication, while the bar, designed as an Asian ship, is strategically placed alongside the back wall to maximise the

space. The Dom Perignon Lounge includes ruby red distressed velvets – it is the perfect place for a relaxed drink. The elevated dining area surrounds the entire bar, maximising the panoramic marina vista. Broadway Interiors needed to create a workspace for Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Awards (HIPA) – a fast-growing team that needed a platform to conduct workshops, gallery presentations, create photography and work efficiently in a multi-functional and adaptable space. The project consumes the full 15th floor of Emaar Boulevard Plaza Tower 2, and due to its diversity, an eclectic mix of spaces was required including a creative reception, an auditorium to facilitate training, and a photographic studio. Luxury and comfort were certainly two factors involved in the design of this project.

Specialising in the renovation of historically significant buildings, KR Properties manages a portfolio of major assets including offices, apartments, commercial premises and warehouses. Situated in central Moscow, just a short walk from Red Square, the club house Kuznetsky Most 12 by Lalique was constructed in 1877. This immaculate 19th century building has been sympathetically restored into 61 luxury apartments by KR Properties in collaboration with the iconic crystal manufacturer. This unique partnership has led to Lalique creations being incorporated in many of the fixtures, fittings and furnishings in the interior.

The project comprises three buildings with separate entrances, lobbies, lifts and stairs, decorated with Lalique fittings, along with the bathrooms of each apartment. For the renovation KR Properties was even able to refer to the original plans for the building to ensure a sympathetic restoration. The project aimed not only to remove relatively modern unsympathetic additions to the interior, but to pay tribute to the original architects by reinstating many original features which had been lost. Marketing for this project included specifically designed logos and colour palettes. In keeping with the concept of sales privacy, there was no direct advertising and the website carried only minimal public information. Marketing was further enhanced by beautifully presented bespoke literature, beautiful events and even a film.

-E A provides full architectural design, programming, urban design, master planning and graphic and interior design services for clients in both the public and private sectors. The four award-winning projects this year represent but a handful of the company’s outstanding portfolio of designs. The first project, Spectrum, is located at Bischoffsheimlaan, along Brussels’ most important arterial road, in the heart of the business district, near the Madou Tunnel. This striking corner structure has 11 floors of office space, and at the back, on the much quieter Noordstraat, there are six stories for offices and housing units. Etterbeek City Hall was born out of an effort to create synergy between the various public services and to provide optimal service to the public. The new City Hall incorporates

civil services for the Municipality of Etterbeek, which includes a neighbourhood police station and local social services – all in one, easy-toreach location. ZIN is a multifunctional circular building that is comprised of offices, 127 apartments and a hotel with 240 rooms, as well as sporting and recreational facilities, restaurants and commercial businesses. It is located in the North District of Brussels, a business area of 1,200,000m2 with a layout comparable to that of La Defense in Paris or Canary Wharf in London. Eden Tower is a top-notch example of new urban in-and-out living in the middle of a bustling metropolis. The 98-metre-high residential building with its 263 flats is a prime combination of a striking high-rise architecture with spectacular views, overall clarity and omnipresent lush greenery – it is a new icon of sophisticated living.

ASA D  a South African based architectural company. Together with its construction division, CASA Construction, the firm provides turnkey solutions to clients in the luxury private residence and residential development market. As a husband and wife team, they both have a passion for design and construction, specialising in bespoke projects, with each design tailored to the client’s specific requirements. 9 Corkwood Drive is situated in the Zimbali Coastal Estate in South Africa. CASA Design was approached by the client to design and build a dream home, and were given an extremely detailed brief. They wanted a modern, open-plan layout with an intimate and warm feel. The use of various materials,

especially wood, was very important to them to add warmth to the house. The pool and home spa area were a priority, as this is where the family plans to spend a lot of time together. This beautiful abode is packed full of technology – the power and convenience of having all systems talk to each other cannot be over emphasised. The lighting, air conditioning, alarms, CCTV, audio visual system, pool, spa, chiller pool, steam room, sauna, underfloor heating, blinds, curtains and power management, including solar and generator selections, are some of the items integrated into the Control 4 Automation System. This was implemented by renowned smart home specialist, Ultra Sound & Vision, with whom CASA Design share the ‘Best International Home Technology’ award.

   with the Newcastle City Council to develop the old Spillers Flour Mill quayside site, The World Wheel Company commissioned Concept i for the planning and design of the Whey Aye Wheel project. The brief highlighted the need to create a 140-metre high wheel, whilst optimising on safety, structure, circulation, operation, and visual considerations. The wheel will act as the attraction anchor, energising and activating a promenade full of other leisure, sports, retail, food and beverage activities. The development brief included the following components: all buildings should be fully accessible for people with physical and visual disabilities; parking should be located in a green ‘park’ area; cycle paths and bike areas must be clearly marked; service loading, unloading zones should be concealed

and connected throughout the buildings by a carefully planned corridor/lift network. Landmarked by the tallest observation structure in Europe, the project celebrates Newcastle’s iconic Geordie culture with a vibrant mix of food/retail and entertainment activities. The final client-approved design embraces a passion for experience, immersing visitors deep into the hearts, heights, and horizons of Newcastle and beyond. The project extends, activates and energises the public use of Newcastle’s famous Quayside environment. The architecture expresses the heritage of the site, morphing reused brick, oxidised steel and distressed concrete surfaces in fresh and unusual ways. These rich textures and tones evoke a strong sense of comfort and context, while the angulated rooflines and façades evoke a sense of old wheat bins, in a very abstract and contemporary way.

 C   262,000m² built-tosuit class A business park managed by A, and is designed as a part of a large-scale mixed-use development project across a 65-hectare area in the Tushino district of Moscow, Russia. Designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) with Renaissance Construction as the general contractor, Rostec City is engineered and constructed using information modelling (BIM) technology. In accordance with the best practice sustainability principles, the campus and buildings were assessed under the BREEAM New Construction standard, Excellent level to meet class A office development world high quality standards. Included in this strategic design are 13 office buildings: ten low-rise structures with four to five floors, two slightly higher mid-rise

buildings with 10 floors and one high-rise tower with a height of 100 metres as a key tenant headquarter, including 21 floors and an adjacent 4,000m² Expo centre for corporate exhibitions and presentations of high-tech projects of the tenants. A car-free campus with underground parking, retail on the basement level and ground floor frontages along with a vibrant public realm bring the principles of green urbanism, sustainable environment and a full range of user services to the employees and guests. Overall, destined to become the largest class A business park in Russia, Rostec City embodies timeless architecture, rational design and respect of urban context, while maintaining eco-friendliness and innovation as key ethical principles.

Located in the fashionable Shaughnessy neighbourhood in beautiful British Columbia, Elements Estate is a seven-bedroom, tenbathroom family home. The client’s brief for the property was for a dream home exuding luxury, quality, beauty and nobility. There was a requirement not only to accommodate a wellness spa, versatile entertaining spaces, and lots of storage, but also to comply with exacting

local planning regulations and West Coast climatic conditions. The resulting home, with its seven fireplaces, three kitchens, two hot tubs, pool and sauna is at the same time grand and homely. The outdoor kitchen design in particular is located in the back yard and extends into the family room through automated sliding doors, making it the ideal entertaining area. It comes equipped with a bartender’s sink, Teppanyaki and BBQ grills, Ice machine, pizza oven, refrigerator, TV and surround sound, multiple ceiling heaters, and a lounge area surrounded by a fire wall complete with a retractable roof for weather protection and all year use. Wonderful landscaping outside includes custom waterfalls and colour changing lighting.

The waterfalls, which are all man-made and hand sculpted out of concrete to match the house, were incorporated into the basement well for a more natural feeling of a retreat that is very impressive. The oversized feature is complete with variable speed pumps and colour-changing lighting that seamlessly syncs with all the other back yard features and music. Working in collaboration with Sublime Interior Design, the interior is luxurious and spacious, whilst at the same time, practical for family life. From the open concept kitchen family room, to a lower floor bar and wine room, Elements Estate offers every modern convenience, including a fully automated smart home system and elevator. Marble is used extensively throughout, the entrance foyer

boasts a double height ceiling and sweeping grand staircase, whilst the living room creates an area for more formal gatherings, with its custom designed furniture, back-lit art, damask wallpaper and Schonbek wall sconces. The custom walnut mantel and gas fireplace flows with the foyer staircase railing, and contrasts well with the porcelain marble flooring. The dining room consists of many details from the wall panelling to the crown and ceiling moulding. To add interest in the space and a focal point, there are two chandeliers. This room connects to the wok kitchen/butler’s pantry and den through the use of integrated hidden doors. Overall, every room is beautifully enhanced by custom furnishings, beautiful wood finishes and moulded plaster accents.

 G  a Ukranian firm with experience in numerous projects ranging in type and scale. For its Kavalier Complex project, which is located in the city of Lviv in Western Ukraine, the customer wanted to build a residential complex and expand the existing hotel that had already been reconstructed and built up several years ago. The project is located in close proximity to the landscape park Znesinnyа. Arkho Group had to find a proper architectural solution to harmoniously combine history and modernity, nature and innovation and consider all functional features of the complex. As a result, the Kavalier Park Apartments not only blend with the environment of the complex, but also serve as the city attraction.

The residential area is 6750m² and has 87 apartments, including 49 one-, 29 two-, and nine three-bedroom apartments. The residences have various configurations and layouts, from smart apartments to exquisite penthouses. The company was tasked with renovating and redeveloping the Kavalier Boutique Hotel, a 4050m² area built across three floors. On the ground floor, there is a lobby including a reception, a cloakroom and a bar. On the first floor there is a sauna, a Turkish bath, a beauty salon, massage rooms, a yoga room, a fitness room and a juice bar. A spacious swimming pool hall has large stained-glass panels which, by opening, let guests freely enter the courtyard which houses an outdoor swimming pool, a pavilion, a summer bar, and a tennis court.

 L,  Co-Arc International Architects, was certified as Africa’s tallest building in 2020. Co-Arc’s design for a complex mixed-use high-rise building was so successful that the project grew from its initial brief of 32 floors to its current 57. Consisting primarily of apartments, but with significant retail, conferencing, office, leisure, educational, and hotel facilities, its modular design approach facilitated a dynamic development, capable of responding to a rapidly shifting Johannesburg property market. The design was finalised just prior to each stage of construction, permitting the uses and number of floors to be flexible until the programmed construction of each floor. The orientation and layout of the plans provide floor space at

every level of the tower, maximising views and minimising climatic effects. The simple modularity and clear expression of structural forces ensured a homogeneous appearance. Unlike some of its hermetically sealed neighbours, this is a building which uses the significant depth of its façade and long slender orientation to provide solar protection and natural ventilation, ensuring every user has access to a balcony or outdoor space. Consideration of local context and urban conditions ensures seamless integration into the city fabric, whilst the installation of a permanent contemporary African art collection by local artists in its public spaces provides generous and welcoming public floors, which signal a focus on its users that extends to every aspect of the building.

The firm is an interdisciplinary architectural and interior design studio that has designed projects on every scale, including residential, commercial, hospitality, interior design and master planning varieties. Singularity and uniqueness are the main concepts that have guided the design of Don Majestic Hotel, as the creation of an architectural icon was the main objective. The hotel, with its 52 rooms, has spacious, luxurious and elegantly designed interiors and offers special services and amenities, including a gourmet restaurant, outdoor and indoor heated pools, a fitness centre, conference room, working areas, flexible meeting spaces,

concierge services, valet parking and spa services, as well as a solarium area to enjoy the green landscape that surrounds the building. Each interior element including furniture has been chosen with the same concept that has guided the architectural design of the hotel; with curves and a very pure, simple but elegant and singular design. For the interior design of the rooms, the main aspect is the overall view, coupled with light and transparency, which are crucial attributes – they are part of the essence and the identity of the project. The hotel has 360 degrees of floor-to-ceiling curved glass, which allow residents to have incredible views of Punta del Este. This approach maximises the sense of connection between the guests and the external landscape.

The company has been successful in winning awards for two different projects: Doppio Gusto and Villa Raggio Di Sole, both located in Switzerland. Doppio Gusto is an Italian refined restaurant and pizzeria. The authenticity and sophistication of the cuisine had to be translated into this open-plan space. The 600m² area had to be divided into the following spaces: Two different dining areas, an open pizza bar in the middle of the restaurant and a terrace. Martinuzzi Interiors therefore designed a modern space, combining typical elements of an Italian restaurant with luxurious design pieces. The

bistro in particular features contemporary green velvet custom-made seating, while olive trees and emblematic photography give the feel of a real Italian Osteria. The brief for Villa Raggio Di Sole focused on revamping the character of a magnificent property located close to Lake Zürich. The villa needed to be restyled in only two weeks, maintaining its original charm and character. Elements of change included bringing the interior and exterior together with the use of mirrors, using gold accents to match the golden mirrors that reflect the stunning view, as well as adding colours and materials that unify the dining area, kitchen and living room. Darker and cooler tones were decided for the master bedroom, combined with art and interesting textures. The resulting villa features a multitude of characteristics that create a beautiful haven for the clients.

The Crest Residence’s architecture is without a doubt modern and timeless, and the office towers have been designed with crisp, clean modern lines to define the Thu Thiem and Ho Chi Minh skyline. The geometrics have been sculpted to create a bold and dynamic architectural form. However, the middle office tower will be constructed further back to ensure the residential tower gets a clear view of the Saigon River. SonKim also drew inspiration from the organic nature of and proximity to the river. With staggering towers that mimic a natural rock formation, the project is a sight to behold. In terms of location, the towers will be conveniently connected to all the main roads on the New Urban Area (NUA) and towards District 1, including the Thu Thiem Bridge 2, Water Front Park Drive and Crescent Boulevard.

Conceptualised by architect Cesar Pelli, Mitikah Torre Residencial high-rise development is part of a 1,000,000m² master plan, which includes a 267-metre residential

The project is the tallest building in Mexico City, where aeronautical as well as zoning permits were an important hurdle to overcome, as no precedent exists for a tower of these dimensions. Situated across 64 storeys, there are 660 apartments in total, with all units having the privilege of spectacular views over Mexico City. Midtown Jalisco mixed-use architectural project establishes itself in Guadalajara as a design that will furnish Mexico City with new commercial and entertainment spaces, together with a significant hotel and office provision. Respect for the existing vegetation and urban integration were guidelines that served to define the positioning of the development. The threestorey area includes restaurants, bars, boutiques, cinemas and a supermarket and is a welcome addition to this blossoming city.

The buildings now provide world class support for the Museum of Fine Arts, Museum of Ethnography and for the National Gallery, with conservation and restoration spaces and storage facilities. The centre’s design aimed to create harmony between new and existing buildings, reflecting their 19th Century architecture, while also using simple geometry and classic proportions. Inside there are cutting edge art storage rooms, restoration workshops and artwork diagnostic labs. The site is now home to the Central European Research Institute for Art History. There is also a deep level garage and a visitor centre. With its geothermal heat pump system, solar panels and green roof areas, this key development truly has innovation at its heart.

  , PSJ I is a highly experienced developer, focused on the use of innovative technologies and sustainability to not only create homes, but also great communities. The design brief for PSJ I’ Vily Třebonice near Prague was to achieve simple shapes and forms, with innovative use of the available space, along with maximum privacy. The client requested that the 12 homes offered a high standard of living using quality materials but always remaining mindful of the environment. In creating the property, PSJ I had to consider how the buildings would sit on the existing plot whilst making best use of the natural resources available, such as land, soil, and rain water.

The project was based on one house shape with a variety of details – a unique but unified set of structures, offering an overall character for the location. The design concept was for imposing high ceilings, up to 3.6 metres, creating spaces with personalised interiors suited to each home. Each property boasts an enormous terrace with a connection between indoors and outdoors in every room. To further enhance life in the development, the project included communal areas for socialising and play, such as an adult workout zone and basketball court, as well as children’s playground. The properties enjoy cooling and radiant ceilings, plus underfloor heating via heat pumps, a green roof offering insulation within the house, and an integrated rainwater irrigation system.

Each design is bespoke to the individual requirements of the clients and carefully planned to maximise functionality and style. Dr D Aesthetics Medical Clinic in Orchard Road, Singapore, provides a holistic approach to aesthetics, using clinically proven noninvasive and non-surgical technologies. The client’s needs were for an opulent, luxurious but non-intimidating space that did not feel too clinical or cold to the guests. However, the practical needs for a working clinic were also important, with facilities for equipment, storage and concealed staff areas. Curved, feminine walls were employed using bronzes and golds, in sync with the clinic’s aims to enhance beauty. A marble-topped reception desk is wrapped in gold, with a ‘D’-shaped lighting feature adding visual interest. Golden

wall-mounted display boxes present a variety of the clinic’s products for sale. A VIP lounge is separated by a sheer curtain, providing a calm, relaxing area for customers. The consultation room is characterised by a bright, airy ambience using creams and light wood flooring to create cocoon of comfort. In contrast, the spa area is distinguished by textured tropical wallpaper, with a meandering corridor creating a sense of separation and tranquillity. Throughout the project, lighting accents are used to deepen colours, adding contrast and depth to the space while creating a warmth that can so often be missing from a clinical environment. The Mansion in the Woods is a four-storey, five-bedroom landed property in the north of Singapore, spanning 4,000 square feet. The client desired a usable but sophisticated space for his family of six. Prestige employed careful space planning to create a practical but sophisticated space. Beiges, browns, greys, blacks and whites form the predominant palette of calming, neutral tones.

A combination of dark and light timbers provide natural warmth, complemented by the light from large windows. Occasional pops of colour bring an additional playfulness to the design. Furnishings include notable pieces from Minotti, Daum, Vibia and Lee Broom. A gourmet kitchen with dark marble counter has its theme continued into the dining area, where the same marble is used in wall features. Reconfigured wardrobes and cabinetry provide unobtrusive storage to keep living areas free from clutter, while walls were altered for a more airy flow. Each bedroom is tailored to its occupant, from the master suite to the children’s rooms. The result is an impressive family home that balances style and usability. Sky@Eleven is a 3,000 square foot apartment near to Orchard Road, the retail heart of Singapore. Prestige was tasked to design a contemporary dream home for a family of five, following Feng shui principles. A private lift opens to the white-grey marble floor and carefully selected Bonsai of the foyer

area. The main living area has an expansive view through a bay window, enhanced by a glossy black marble counter and decorative screen. This is set off by a striking white Tai Chi sculpture. A silver portoro marble feature wall with vertical veins accentuates the modern contemporary look. A particular feature of the apartment is its two wings. Prestige constructed a modern French double leaf door at the edge of the study area to segregate these areas while maintaining light and visibility throughout. The study is also where the clients’ collection of Bearbricks is prominently displayed – a specifically requested feature. Part of the adherence to feng shui was that Prestige relocated a number of doors that were previously in inauspicious positions. Sky@Eleven is a warm, contemporary family home with extensive scope for guests and perfect for an expanding family. It demonstrates Prestige’s expertise in fulfilling and even going beyond their clients’ needs.

   new project in the historical centre of St. Petersburg, Russia, constructed by RBI. The company aimed to create a ‘handmade’, truly elite and unique residential complex, which can compete in artistic value with works of art. At the same time, the project is meant to link the art of past epochs, embodied in the historical building of Levashovsky Bread Factory, а masterpiece of Soviet constructivism in architecture, with the present and future of development, with modern ideas about elite, ‘luxurious’ and prestigious housing. The style of the project’s facade was partly defined by the Levashovsky Factory. But also its beautiful beige jura limestone, elegant rosettes and decorative ornaments of architectural

concrete and bronze are more linked to the Art Deco style, making Futurist luxurious and unique. The eclecticism of the residential complex is largely inspired by the graphics of the avant-garde, but also ideologically connected with modernity. This style combines historical motifs, expensive materials and rich decor. Another prominent feature of the project is its unique courtyard, which is designed extremely carefully. Each square metre has both artistic and functional values. The inner courtyard is a green space, completely private and inaccessible for outsiders, which is divided into thematic zones. On the kids’ playgrounds equipment from the German brand Richter Spielgeraete is installed, making the interactive zones original, eco-friendly and safe.

The 350m² penthouse condominium Inner Peace in 108 BRAHMA Residence draws influences from the world’s first design hotel: Denmark SAS Royal Hotel. In this loft penthouse featuring a fabulous view, modern artworks and features echo the classic furniture by Danish designer Arne Jacobsen, integrating natural organic lines into the airy space. Neat lines, plain surfaces, natural textures and brass

elements are matched with the symmetry of Chinese culture. Jacobsen’s Egg Chair forms the centrepiece of the living room, taking advantage of bird’s eye views through 6.8-metre floor-to-ceiling windows. The Design Director, Idan Chiang, introduced principles of rounded forms, smoothing down the sharp edges of everyday life. This concept was applied not only to the choices of furniture and decoration, but to the shape of rooms too. Melt lighting pendants and the jade dining table bring rich colour and elegance to the dining area, with elaborate table tops evoking exquisite paintings. Private areas are thought out with equal care, including world-renowned Savoir beds to ensure comfort, paired with selected artworks to create inspiring living atmospheres.

   company Holocene was founded just five years ago by Aude Gros-Rosanvallon. In that short time, Aude has worked on a large variety of projects from private villas to mountain chalets, landscape design, restaurants and beach clubs both in Europe and America. Tuscy is situated on a three acre Californian plot of land, surrounded by high redwoods and valley oaks. This immaculately designed residential interior is the result of a three year collaboration between the USA and France, resulting in a Californian sized house with a distinctly European flavour The land was purchased in 2016, French architect PPF Goujon Studio worked on the building, while Holocene were responsible for the interiors – from partition wall,

staircase, bathrooms, kitchen and dressings design to furniture choices and decoration. Much inspiration was drawn from the owner, whose design concepts are deeply rooted in a curiosity and enthusiasm for Europe and France. It was to be a project of layers. The client was focused on circulations and gentle curves, maximum openness and enjoying large views towards the garden. It was to carry a simple yet elegantly refined palette – beige stone and marble, bronze and cherry wood. And most of all it was to be a celebration of artisanal crafts. As many elements as possible have been commissioned and handcrafted specifically for the property. From the sculptural, ribbon like staircase to the very last drawer, each part of the project has been explored, discussed, implemented and refined.

 A  D’ beautiful Six Tunnels Farm Manège project is set in the Chiltern area of outstanding natural beauty in Hertfordshire. This equestrian centre is located in the curtilage of a listed farmhouse and facilitates participation in horse-related activities for all ages, levels of skill and mobility. Its operators encourage people from all social backgrounds to explore and enjoy riding, for exercise and to give alternative insights into the natural world. Operational in all weathers and seasons, it needs ample lighting – as much natural as possible – shading for climate control and to avoid glare, and copious natural ventilation. All these features help to provide the needed large

enclosure which serves to reassure nervous riders as well as horses with behavioural challenges, on which specialist advice was incorporated into the design. Specialists in adding new to old, Atelier’s design rises to this challenge with a series of innovative construction techniques, many used here for the first time on an equestrian centre in the UK. These include an exo-skeleton of glulam timber frame to make a large, clear internal span, ringed by floor to ceiling curtain walling which allows light in and views out. It also gives a low pitch to the roof, reducing the impact in the landscape and effect on the farmhouse which remains the most important part of the composition.

SEN   company was tasked with renovating a 40-year old house and turning it into a gorgeous award-winning café called Dry Salon in Taipei, Taiwan. The concept revolved around creating a picturesque and awe-inspiring space, whilst being a haven where friends can gather and have a good yet relaxing time. The interior was therefore made more open, bright and transparent, helping the area to feel lighter, airier and more spacious. A fusion of classical elements and modern style aided in the transformation of this beautiful project with the ceiling, floor and walls being left blank. An exhibition space was incorporated to showcase beautifully bespoke

handicrafts to capture the attention of guests. Near an area by the wall you will find iron materials, which have been fused together to mimic a swing. The right side of Dry Salon hosts a half-arc bar area with four seats so that visitors can indulge in a drink or two, whilst stone and wood blocks are strategically placed allowing people to use them as tables or chairs. Standout French windows and a gorgeous titanium plated stainless steel door feature transparent glass to create a seamless merge between the indoor and outdoor space, ensuring that these two elements retain visual focus. A transparent skylight was put in place of standard roofing to maximise the space within the café, as well as for practicality purposes.

Developed by Invest Komfort, the Botanica combines the perfect location in the direct vicinity of the sea, beach and park complexes, with proximity to the modern urban infrastructure of Gdansk and the attractions of fashionable Sopot. The idea of the project is an original development of Howard’s ‘garden city’ concept. The neighbourhood plan was made to resemble the landscape of a natural meandering river. The architecture features simple and elegant aesthetics, while an enclave of greenery provides comfort and privacy. The design of the low-rising three-storey housing complex incorporates sloped roofs, a horizontal arrangement with cornices, bold glazing of staircases, building entrances and windows. Every resident gains a unique view

and a space of individual character, with an opportunity to privately take in the benefits of the ‘garden city’. The large-scale glazing and the layout of windows provide the apartments with enough exposure to guarantee the wellbeing of the residents. Individually designed sliding wooden and steel window shutters allow windows and balconies to be shaded. The interior design is simple and elegant, using materials of the highest quality. The neighbourhood is equipped with a fitness zone with showers, saunas and a relaxation room, as well as a lounge room for the residents. The company’s goal was to create a place of nobility, naturally embedded in the area. Achieving this was assisted by filling the space between the buildings with vegetation using a variety of species.

   regional presence and local knowledge built over forty years, Riyadh based Dar Al Omran has established a solid reputation in the world of architecture and engineering consultancy. Drawing on the important work of the Ministry of Culture, the palette and furnishings of the Private Office in Riyadh encompass a rich national identity and vibrant history, whilst also looking to future. The ground floor acts as an open cultural museum. The weaving of Sadu, renowned globally as one of the oldest and most traditional Saudi patterns, is incorporated throughout. The office architecture of the Royal Commission for Riyadh City Headquarters

Extension has also taken an award. This landmark project of over 15,000m² is an expansion of the old Arriyadh Development Authority building, comprising a library and many public spaces. It shows a fine connection between modernity and traditional values, and its sunshade sails provide effective control for heat and light. The Move North Beach Crescent is a commercial development in the Jubail Industrial City. Based on the concept of a fisherman’s cove, the arrangement of the buildings create a cove effect. The applied grid configuration above references the industrial fabric of the city. Walkways and terraces access different levels and serve to redefine the site’s relationship with the water.

During that time they have worked on many projects which have helped to shape and define the city of Łódź, Poland’s third largest city, 120km from Warsaw. Monopolis is one such project. The main building, which dates back to 1902, is one of the most recognisable in Łódź. The renovation of this former vodka bottling plant creates almost 2,500 light-filled modern workspaces.  W C  D (HWCD) is an international design company based in London, Shanghai and Barcelona. Through unique bespoke design, HWCD has collected five awards for projects based around China. Poly-time Plus in particular is a lovely retail development located on the south bank of Qiantang River. The environment is beautiful, with the ecology used as an element in the design process. The plot is close to metro line 7, whilst in its immediate surroundings you will find a junior high and a primary school. Changshu Shanghu 185 Villa is located in the southwest of Changshu City, China, close to the three-ring expressway. The client asked for a villa to be built in order to highlight the beauty of the landscape. Design elements

chosen included suede and leather, as well as glossy and reflecting materials like marble, glass, metal and resin. Situated in the southwest corner of Huashan New Town, Wuhan, Phoenix Mansion is surrounded by lakes and mountains. For this show home, a large amount of glossy and reflecting materials were applied, whilst the patio offers beautiful natural views. Optics Valley Innovation Tiandi is nestled in the centre of East Lake National Independent Innovation Demonstration Zone. The design has a floor space of around 45,000m² and is beautifully laid out to provide visitors with a host of activities to take part in. HWCD also has ties to Sincere Garden office development in Songting, Jiangsu Province, and has stunning neoclassical architecture.

 C LLC is a full-service, licensed interior design and renovation firm. Founded in 2004, the company designs and undertakes both residential and commercial projects. Lauren’s Villa Blanca design took into consideration a dynamic, young couple with three young children. Great care was taken to help build and design their long-term, dream home. She curated a powerhouse team of Cook Architectural Design Studio, Legacy Custom Homes, and Lauren Coburn LLC to collaborate with the clients on creating the perfect vision for their home. Together, they decided on a Mediterranean-style aesthetic for the exterior with a bright and airy interior, highlighted clean lines, and sunlight flowing in from every direction. Massively-scaled

moldings were used to fit the proportions of the home and multiple giant daybeds were incorporated throughout, for lounging and enjoying time together. Lauren was commissioned by her client to create the beautiful Glen Ellyn Estate project. The client wanted to transform their traditional estate’s dark and heavy interior into a coastalesque, light-filled haven. The over scaled, French-inspired furniture pieces – most of which Lauren custom designed – pay homage to the grand proportions of the home, and gave the client unique pieces that fit his tastes, passion for overseas travel, and his personal vision. Given the fact that three young children and two dogs also call this place home, Lauren used practical, yet beautiful, stain-resistant fabrics throughout.

The company was tasked with refurbishing a baroque house in a small town near Vienna, known for its centuries old buildings. Modern elements were dotted around to improve the look and feel of the entire building, to the extent that passive house standard was attained. The courtyard building was reinterpreted to reflect the client’s experience with housing in Arabian countries, therefore urban spaces with maximum amount of privacy was implemented. The spa, situated on the ground floor, provides plenty amenities such as a sauna and

steam bath, creating a space for maximum relaxation and rejuvenation. The highly symbolic appearance of wall pillars and columns under the water’s surface create a contemplative atmosphere. A limestone wall separates the jacuzzi and pool, while seating resembling sunken wall remains gives an impression of timelessness. The stunning vaulted ceiling, while complex in its form, gives the appearance of spaciousness and light. The beautifully designed stairs, made from limestone and steel maximises the elegance and sophistication of the rest of the home. This contemporary mansion, which is located in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, was inspired by European elements and the art of Feng Shui. The house was built more than twenty years ago, so a lot of work had to be done in order to achieve an eye-catching outcome. The first floor of the house was laid out in a way that would add a touch of charm, while the dining room had to be separated into two parts. The first being the grand dining room and the second as a multi-purpose room for afternoon tea and casual meetings. The clients requested for the living room to be split into two parts as well, whilst

the second floor was designated for three bedrooms, three bathrooms, one master bedroom and a master bathroom. In terms of Feng Shui elements, Designs Plus Style had to ensure that certain colours and the positioning of furniture complemented the clients’ wishes. The hues gracing certain areas of the home included rich shades of blue and green, as well as gold and silver in order to add a touch of glitz and glamour. The use of these tones can be seen in the peacock embroidery within the beautifully designed grand dining room and a silver leaf-inspired wall in the multipurpose room. Other amenities included an aquarium and a wine chiller as per the owners’ specifications.

 A  versed in design and construction and recognises that its responsibility is inextricably bound to the physical and human environment. Its award-winning project involved the redesign of The Garden House – a two-bedroom bungalow located on the southwest side of Wandsworth Common in London. All the non-original parts of the bungalow were demolished prior to the extension and renovation, leaving a small portion of the garden elevation and the full original roof finished with curved tiling. The fence by the entrance was modernised with the use of hardwood trellis, which replaced the existing non-original brick boundary wall. Contemporary wood frame and aluminium-

finished windows were installed in the garden and a generous black metal door with glass panels replaced the small existing door. The interior materials were carefully chosen with a range of neutral colours taking centre stage, whilst a clever balance of natural and artificial lighting allowed for an airy and well-lit environment. Natural oak wood planks were fitted throughout, with the exception of the shower rooms which were clad with porcelain tiles. The bespoke kitchen was designed and built onsite with MDF natural oak veneered panels, quartz worktops and simple appliances, while the shower room in the basement features a slightly illuminated area that is made possible by a Velux sun tunnel. All the elements incorporated elevate the project to a higher sense of luxury.

 D T  A. was tasked with designing this beautiful residential proaperty within the grounds of the Terravista development in Argentina. The clients requested a modern design with an open concept, alongside a large and spacious outdoor place to meet with friends and family. Materiality, warmth and movement are three words that perfectly define this single-family home, for which the search for harmony in its lines and balance in the use of its materials represented a great challenge. Known as Padovan’s House, the design needed to enable the owners to interact with nature. The more than 40 hectares of green and common spaces within Terravista, along with the central park with its lagoons and sports spaces created the perfect atmosphere to accomplish this.

In addition, the use of pure lines allowed for a minimalistic aura which resulted in the owners being able to fully appreciate and enjoy the abode in its entirety. The interior is enveloped in pure white with touches of colour to create an exceptional space. The use of integrated environments enhanced the relationship with the outside, while comfort remained constant with the implementation of a central air conditioning and heating equipment. The signature bathrooms were designed with state-of-the-art coverings, toilets and taps. The kitchen/dining room opens into the living room and, through glazed doors, to the gallery and to the back garden, creating an environment that from a visual point of view has no limits, while the bedrooms are enveloped in white carpentry with hermetic double glazing, porcelain floors, plaster ceilings and luminaires embedded in them.

-  practice White Matter Design Studio was incorporated in 2019, with offices in Singapore, Cambodia and Taiwan. The firm delivers holistic design solutions with the aim to curate lifestyle experiences using its deep knowledge and forward thinking approach. Crystalville is a fully realised 43 hectare masterplan for a beachfront resort town in Sihanoukville, Cambodia, close to Phnom Penh. It is a mixed-use development embracing commercial, residential and leisure facilities. The entire site includes eleven zones encompassing residences, hotels, lagoon, retail mall, convention centre, resort and a marina. The location has excellent transport links but retains a connection to nature by bordering the Ream National Park.

Taking its cue from the surrounding environment, the concept integrates large villas with Jacuzzi pools that dot the beachside, while modern compact villas with pools and cabanas are intertwined with mangrove swamps, connected by boardwalks. The primary residential zone is car-free, with residents exchanging their cars for buggies between the separated car parks and their homes. This creates pedestrian-friendly living that engages with nature. A shopping mall provides residents with retail and restaurant opportunities. Architecture makes use of exposed reinforced concrete that will weather naturally over time, while timbered louvres create shade, reducing cooling load and improving energy consumption.   R, Atlas Development was tasked with creating a residential high-rise development known as Park Stolits. Located in Yakaterinburg, a capital of constructivism, this project is quite unique, with the city not seeing any new designs in this style for quite some time. Taking this into account, the company has designed the Park Stolits project architecture in the style of ‘contemporary constructivism’. Each of the ten buildings in this development is named after a world capital and all are connected by a unique two-storey gallery, which combines all the necessary infrastructure under its roof. It has a family clinic, a dental clinic, a pharmacy, cafés and restaurants, a fitness centre

with a full-size swimming pool, a beauty salon, a children’s club, and much more. In the circular gallery you’ll find five comfortable lobbies. Each lobby has an entrance to two of the city houses The spacious courtyard was thought up by European architectural studio S&P Architektura Krajobrazu. The courtyard will feature jogging and cycling paths, promenade areas among mature trees, a playground and a man-made brook with a picturesque pond. In order to achieve a truly unique exterior appearance, a composite façade structure was used which flawlessly combines clinker bricks with ventilated and render façade systems. It truly is one of the most uncompromising housing estates in Russia.

 T A was given a specific challenge to design an extraordinary house positioned on a peninsula in order to capture multiple panoramic views. This unique 11,000 sq. ft. custom home design has six large bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, and is a three-storey one-of-a-kind house. The Scottish-born Caymanian client wanted to have a comfortable living space for his growing family while incorporating both European and Caribbean design aspects. The interior space planning resembles that of a modern style castle with its high walls and columns, grand passageways and surprising stair systems. Far from being a traditional Caymanian cottage, Chersonese utilises large roof overhangs, maximises outdoor living space, and provides a view to the expansive lap pool with

double negative water edge, a 12-person jacuzzi and island planter with palm tree floating in the centre from most rooms in the house. The open kitchen and family room are located with direct access to the pool with views to a bamboo garden, the water and many palm trees along the water’s edge. The living and dining rooms give the house more of a traditional feel yet simultaneously takes full advantage of the open-plan living space. On the second floor, a long corridor connects each of the five bedrooms on multi levels. A sixth self-contained guest bedroom, is located above the parallelogram shaped three-car garage. Finally, the third floor, which houses an office and private gym, gives the owner direct east and west views from one end of the island to the other allowing full enjoyment of the magnificent sunrises and sunsets every day.

 T Commercial Development is a mixed-use project located at the centre of Nanchang Old Town, right at the Golden Intersection of Cross Street and Hongcheng Road, which is known as the Nanchang First Street. These two major city roads represent the core of this historic area. Developed by architectural firm JATO Design International Limited, this one-of-akind project features excellent site access, and will span across three plots of land to create an exciting retail destination. Zhengshen Taigugang includes a mixture of commercial podiums, a 5-star hotel tower, soho loft tower, office tower and public spaces in the form of terraces and gardens. As the tallest development in Old Town, the over

200m tall towers will soon become a visual beacon of Nanchang’s skyline. The podium design in particular for the department store at plot A and B share a similar architectural expression. Rather than using an LED display, the main entrance of the two plots will feature a hanging gallery called an ‘Art-scape’. It will be used for art displays to feature beautiful pieces from local and national artists. The displayed work will become part of the façade and will form the unique identity of the commercial complex. Overall, the towers and podiums symbolise the mountains and plateau along the Gan River, whilst the curvature of the building represents the dynamic movements of people – it truly is an architectural marvel.

JSC F-E has presented an impressive project that has won three awards. The design of Reef Residence, which is a new deluxe clubhouse, reflects passion and artistry. Located on the Sochi Black Sea Coast, the unique natural landscape of this area, along with the concierge service and a beautiful multiservice, including spa and fitness centres, a complex of swimming pools as well as walking and children’s areas represents the gold standard of high quality of living in the Russian Riviera. The architectural solution exploited by the Reef Residence complex was developed by Project Meganom, which is considered one of the most successful design companies in Russia. The main building of Reef Residence is a 12-storey complex, and in an effort to offer residents the opportunity to feast their eyes on the views, the architects designed a cascade of wide terraces. Transparent insets in the

terraces’ parapet walls are key to the everchanging sea becoming an inherent part of every apartment’s interior. The Reef Residence complex also includes two villas with separate entrances and their own outdoor lounge zones with swimming pool, waterfall and tropical gardens. Both are situated below the apartment building level and are in close proximity to the calm waters of the Sochi Black Sea Coast, while being totally autonomous. Hilltop Mansion is a Hong Kong apartment built in 1965 that needed a full overhaul of both its layout and design to accommodate a family of three, while working to an economical budget. This involved the opening up of the lounge and dining area to foster family unity while creating an airy balcony and introducing floor-to-ceiling fully opening windows. The space is decorated with shades of white, soft grey and wooden tones. A marble

TV wall and elements of gold bring glamour and elegance, while geometric wooden flooring and rugs add visual interest. Frosted glass screens and doors with gold-finished stainless steel frames divide areas to create privacy without compromising visibility. To expand the master suite, walls were extended in the living room. The sense of space is enhanced by a glass-walled walk-in dressing room. A reconfigured layout and softer pink and grey palette in the daughter’s bedroom generated a more practical space despite its smaller size, with custom built-in cabinetry providing concealed storage. The result of inT Design’s work is an elegant and far more practical home that provides a calm, welcoming environment for a close family.

  , Olaa Arquitetos has worked on everything from furniture design to major urban projects. Environmentally aware, their aim is to make the best use of renewable and recycled resources, giving favour to material such as sustainably sourced wood. In fact, they have gone so far as to help with the reforestation of parts of the Brazilian rainforest to protect this natural habitat for generations to come. Casa Americana is located in São Paulo State. The villa sits on the very edge of the urbanised area, overlooking green fields. The building is designed not only to make the most of these views, but also to reduce energy consumption, utilise renewable energy,

sustainable building materials and innovative technology. The design ethos for this project was to embrace and make the most of the natural surroundings offered by the location and provide the residents with an indoor/outdoor lifestyle. The large windows of the main living area look out onto a grassy courtyard with a beautiful panoramic view from the garden. Inside, the private areas each look out onto their own courtyard garden, offering not only a view of lush vegetation but providing dappled shade and a natural feel. High ceilings make the rooms airy and are bathed in light. Garden roofs overhang the main buildings, providing shade and a contrast in materials from the main concrete structure to areas finished in wood.

   by Uira, an Indonesian architect and project director, Artalenta Indonesia provides prestige multidisciplinary architectural, interior design and construction services with a particular focus on opulent residential and retail projects. Sajni Ka Ghar is a summer residence in Bali that integrates with the local landscape and steep limestone cliffs. Artalenta believes that tropical design is as much about the surroundings as it is about architecture, so the home was arranged around prominent existing trees on the site. White stone introduces linearity in juxtaposition with the natural elements, while an infinity pool makes excellent use of the cliff-side location. Saba Haven is designed to house up to 12 people with a resort-like feel, with modern

cubic forms that have been elongated and perforated into a continuous structure, unified by the graphic elements of roof and wall claddings. Brown and beige tones hearken to the surrounding landscape, complemented by a cantilevered flat roof that weaves the structure into the coastal environment. Finally, 131 Cove Drive is the reconfiguration of an established family home in Sentosa, extending and upgrading to allow more room for the owners’ children. The entire ground floor was reconstructed into a spacious open-plan area, creating a focal point for the family. This looks onto the outdoor swimming pool and Jacuzzi. Attic space was repurposed to create a master suite with separate spa and semi-outdoor areas. Artalenta specified and installed fixtures, fittings and furniture throughout the project.

   10 years TAG Urban Properties have established a portfolio of refreshingly unique and stylish homes. The company’s Jury Place residential development project located in Warwick is testament to the superb craftmanship involved. The company worked with TateHindle to convert the Grade II listed Lord Leycester Hotel in Warwick Town Centre into a residential-led mixed use development aimed at the downsizers and young professionals. The local landmark was reconfigured to create 10 apartments with a retail unit at ground floor, while new townhouses at the rear of the site provide an additional 10 homes. The hotel’s red brick frontage was retained and restored, giving back the building its refined elegance. The existing timber structure was also retained with new steel insertions

causing minimal impact to the historic fabric. Apartments were enhanced by the retention of features including a stone gable end wall reinstated with stone mullioned windows to match original details. New build townhouses designed in red/blue brick and white render also include stone details. With a mix of twoand three-bedroom accommodation arranged over three floors, the residences include spacious open-plan living, generously sized double bedrooms and private rear gardens. Large windows, dormers with balconies and large sliding doors onto the rear gardens provide the interiors with much improved natural light and views. The car parking, landscaping and frontage of the houses were redesigned with a view to creating a better sense of community with greater connectivity between the new houses and both the central courtyard and church to the rear.

For Rost Residence, Trio Architecture implemented its client’s vision seamlessly. A devoted kite surfer, John Rost’s love of the wind, water, flora, white sandy beaches and blue skies had to be directly linked to the home’s interior spaces. Located about 45 minutes from downtown George Town, Rost Residence finds its home at the East End of Grand Cayman, next to Kite Beach. Originally intended to be a vacation home, John’s list of requirements included an independent structure comprising of a

four-car garage, and a guest apartment with a small living room and kitchen. For the ground level of the main building, he wanted a great room with a large kitchen, dining and living area, ample outdoor decking, and three guest bedrooms. For the upper level, a master suite with a separate office. All these areas needed to be harmoniously enveloped in a modern structure designed to echo its surrounding beauty. The design of the house maintains a modern aesthetic yet honours the natural surrounding elements with the use of generous glazing. The stone cladding references the colour of the sand, while the white stucco and dark bronze accents pay homage to the traditional colour schemes found around the island. With Rost Residence, Trio Architecture has created a unique place where each space is designed to awaken the senses.

With an aim to bring Japanese quality to Vietnamese residences, Maeda Corporation collaborated with Thien Duc Co. Ltd in order to achieve this. The architectural design was proudly made by internationally famous Japanese architect Kengo Kuma who was inspired by the beautiful curves of the terraced fields in the highlands of Vietnam, as well as the Saigon River. Renowned as a masterpiece in the heart of District 2, the project is 25-storeys high with a five-floor podium, and includes 98 luxurious suites composed of penthouse, duplex and single floor units. There are also two floors that

house public, technical and commercial areas, and two mezzanines with parking bays. As far as views go, each suite was positioned to ensure panoramic views of Saigon River. The elegant balconies which all emulate large waves are a sight to behold. They were also designed to ensure residents get a maximum amount of sunlight. The interior of this residential highrise development is not short on luxurious amenities. Aura aqua suites in particular are fully furnished apartments which come complete with sturdy and well-constructed walls, ceilings and floors. The project affirms strongly its presence in the urban context, occupying a residual slender parcel of 644m² with a footprint of 135m², leaving space for urban private gardens on the

ground floor and a common green area in the north-west part of the site. The building, structured around four levels above ground and an underground level, is oriented south west/north east to offer multiple exposure angles. It is composed of thirteen new apartments, mostly addressed to the increasing student’ population and to young professionals looking for their first real estate investment.   D Urban & Architecture Design (Macau) provides a full spectrum of architectural services including urban design, feasibility studies, project estimating and management, together with architectural, interior, and landscape design. The New Tuition Building of Our Lady of Fatima Girls’ School is the extension of a traditional and well established kindergarten to secondary Roman Catholic school catering to 2000 students and staff. The design of the new buildings needed to integrate and complement the existing architecture while modernising, expanding and improving the facilities. The new development needed to provide a long list of requirements including more multi-purpose rooms, a weather-shield playground, large canteen, activity rooms, a new library, basketball court, car parking and more.

The lower levels of the building were rebuilt, with the original timber window louvres retained as a memory of the school’s history and identity. Above this, double-skinned aluminium-clad storeys were added, creating expansive vertical spaces across seven floors, plus a rooftop terrace and basement levels for the canteen and underground parking. Inner facades use semi-open corridors to access classrooms, maximising air flow and creating an open, welcoming atmosphere. Above the central courtyard with its sports courts is a sky ladder of stairs between each floor, symbolising a ladder to heaven, ending at the chapel. The school has long cultivated grapevines – in harvest season these will bedeck the sky ladder, creating a green corridor. The result is a school set for future generations of students, taking them onwards to success.

 J. R is an architect and interior designer who has been working exclusively on high-end residential projects for nearly two decades. Her work for private clients and premium property developers is appreciated worldwide. To date, Dominika has completed over four-hundred interior design and architectural projects. Her Stellio Residence project in particular is testament to her creativity. The investors are a couple with two children, who decided to return to their homeland in Zambrow, a small town in north-east Poland. They purchased an old wooden thatched house and wanted it to be transformed into a unique architectural shape with well-designed accommodation, encompassing a big, bright kitchen and study with a library. The clients also wanted a swimming pool with an adjacent relaxation area, space to exhibit art

pieces, and a garage. Overall, they wanted a style that corresponded with the XIX century surroundings. The hall welcomes guests with its brave design and a decorative staircase that catches the eye. The saloon has a fireplace, with two sofas. The kitchen at first glance doesn’t look like one – it appears as an elegant continuation of the saloon. Decorative front panels cover refrigerators and the cargo compartment, whilst induction heating was embedded in the dark-coloured stone. The dining area is a highly important part of the home – it is calm, warm and welcoming, and at the same time quite refined. The master bedroom and children’s bedrooms are all located on the first floor. The swimming pool is the most important part of the house. It was designed in an artistic style within a flair of avant-garde and surrealistic elements.

This is something that the company terms #puredesign. Designed by the renowned architect Ricardo Bofill, at over 100 metres tall Ikon is the highest residential tower in Valencia. The predominantly white façade with its distinctive curves and vertical metallic

This iconic building was devised to complement and balance others in the locality, providing an architectural coherence, whilst at the same time laying a legacy for future planning.
