MRAEL in conjunction with ATTC are offering an opportunity for you to take the first step in your Construction career by completing this Trade Ready Program in Townsville.
Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ) Funded Trade Ready Program
Skills and Employability Training (Week 1-3)
Participants are provided the opportunity to undertake life skills and accredited training and development in a safe simulated work environment.
Structured Workplace Learning (Week 4-6)
Participants undertake a structured workplace learning activity with one of our supporting construction partners.

Eligibility Requirements
• Queensland residents with Australian or New Zealand citizenship
• White card or ability to obtain
• Driver’s licence preferrable
• Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test

• RIIWHS204E Work safely at heights
• CPCCCM2004 Handle Construction Materials
• RIIWHS201E Work safely & follow WHS Policies and procedures
• RIISAM203E Use hand and power tools
• CPCCWHS2001 Apply WHS requirements, policies and procedures in the construction industry
Week 4-6:
Structured Workplace Learning
Life Skills Training:
• Financial Literacy
• Workplace Fitness
• Nutrition
• Interpersonal skills
• Personal Development
• Employability Skills
Participants will engage in three weeks (114-120hrs) of structured workplace learning, providing direct exposure to a variety of construction trades and professions.
What is the CSQ funded “Trade Ready” program?
Our fully funded Trade Ready Program provides participants the opportunity to undertake skills training and development in a safe simulated work environment before undertaking a structured workplace learning activity with one of our supporting construction partners.
How long is the course?
The Trade Ready program is scheduled for 6 weeks, however, this may be adjusted due to individual circumstances. How much does it cost?
Our Trade Ready Programs are fully funded by Construction Skills Queensland.
