The extreme bushfire season of 2019/2020 saw such extensive destruction of koala habitat that it is likely that thousands of koalas met their death in the infernos. In some areas, it is estimated that 80% of the Koala population was wiped out. In the face of such tragedy, it gave us great joy to be able to take a first look inside the new Port Stephens Koala Sanctuary. Read more about this heart-warming facility on page 8.
