Each installation Madeleine creates is one-hundred percent unique to the space and the desires of those who occupy it.
Each knot is a real-life knot, handtied and fired in the kiln. The combination of knots are put together in a “just right way ” , each unique and together stunning.
If you have a special knot or interest (sailing, medical, boy scout), the knots can be customized to represent your interests.
There are also a variety of finishes/glazes that are stunning in a monochromatic layout or equally amazing when combined.
A simple photo of a blank wall is the literal canvas that Madeleine uses to create her masterpieces.
Once we determine the overall size of the installation, Madeleine sketches out several designs - organic or structured, with a range in number of knots used for each layout. The sketches provide a realistic view and price point of what the installation will look like on your wall.
Based feedback, Madeleine then edits the design to be perfect for your space.
Once a design is selected - Madeleine gets to work creating each knot. When ready, Madeleine arrives with the knots, a petite drill and her wall map - ready to install your custom wall art!
