From 20 – 24 November the province of North Brabant in the Netherlands will once again be the seat of the International Vocal Competition (IVC). In 2019 the Competition the LiedDuo division is held. The jury includes prominent singers, such as Dame Felicity Lott, Jard van Nes and Thomas Oliemans as well as pianists Graham Johnson and David Selig. The Lieder contestants are judged as singer-pianist duos. The compulsory piece “Oh, che tranquillo mar” is composed by Dutch composer Sylvia Maessen.
The high-profile International Vocal Competition (IVC) includes masterclasses, feedback from jury members, travel refund for finalists and accommodation at host families, ingredients that make up this unique and internationally renowned event.
