Dear All The Congress date is coming up fast and so as the intensive preparation is taking place to ensure that all necessary arrangements are in place. The Conference flyer is now shared through various channels, e.g. on large regional meetings, to attract as many participants from diverse fields and regions as possible. The members of the organizational committee including me were present during the meeting of the ISS/SIC Committee, which was held during the Congress of the American College of Surgeons in Boston last Octo-

ber. During the ACS congress the World Congress of Surgery in Krakow was widely advertised and cordial invitation to participate in Congress was directed to all the fellows of ACS.

In previous months other potential sponsors were contacted. For further arrangements, the company representatives were referred to Termedia or ISS/SIC office. The final list of all sponsors is being finally prepared.

Because larger responsibilities have been tackled so far, including venue and organizing company, the Local Organizing Committee could shift its focus to planning the particulars of the Congress. Much attention is now paid to carefully prepare the Congress schedule and the Social Program. I believe we enable the participants to time for networking both on formal meetings at the Congress and

on casual talks in marvelous surroundings of the medieval city of Krakow.

The Congress is active in the Internet and new feeds are constantly added especially on Facebook and Twitter. This includes the series of posts presenting main members involved into the organization and the history of surgery in Poland, promoting the country and especially the region of Lesser Poland and Krakow itself.

We look enthusiastically forward to welcoming you in Poland next August. Make sure to settle your congress arrangements at a very early stage to profit from availability and best offers.
