Jeremy Chapman Jazz Quartet ISP Music Teacher, saxophonist, flautist and new father Jeremy Chapman (despite the various hats he is currently wearing!) has managed to bring his magnificent Jazz Quartet to the Palace! Jeremy was born in Egypt, grew up in Lebanon and moved to England at the age of 11. From 1997 to 2014, he was based between Lebanon and the UK and has performed throughout the Middle East and Europe. He moved to the Czech Republic in the summer of 2014.

Tonight, he performs with three of Prague’s foremost jazz musicians: Kiril Yakovlev on guitar, Taras Volos on double bass and Petr Nohavica on drums.

Expect to hear some classic jazz standards with perhaps an original composition or two thrown in.

DJ Javo Javo will bring the party to the Palace! A Dutch perfectionist with a raw edge, Javo started making music at the age of 4, his first instrument was a violin, which he promptly smashed to pieces! Later, he discovered the art of mixing and possessed by the possibilities of the mixer he practiced every day to become bigger and better. In his opinion music should be a generator of emotions and energy. Javo plays weekly at different clubs in Prague using state-of-the-art pioneer systems perfecting his sets.

Natalie Chadzivasilis and An Nguyen They have been dancing together from summer 2017. Their first competition was in October 2017. They are registered in Czech dance sports association. They represent dance club ASTRA PRAHA. They dance a combination of standard dances (Waltz, Tango, Valčík, Quickstep) and Latin dances (Samba, Rumba, Cha Cha, Jive).Their last success was last weekend. They got a two silver medal from Standard dances and bronze medal from Latin.

Sunny Swing Orchestra and Adela Zejfartová

Adéla Zejfartová is a Czech singer and an actress. She has devoted herself to jazz and swing since her studies at the State Conservatory in Prague. Her love of this sunny music, as she called it, led her to Original Prague Syncopated Orchestra, where she met colleagues with the same interest. She formed Sunny Swing Trio and Quintet with them in 2012. During the swing events she has succumbed to swing dance. She has started attending dance courses and cooperating with professional dancers who often enrich her concerts with performances and dance lessons. Her dream came true in 2017 when she started a bigger band Sunny Swing Orchestra. She performs with that mostly at dance parties of swing communities.

Youbox

The Youbox photo booth will capture fun and special moments with professional high quality pictures. An exciting memory from the party!

Dear Friends and Members of the ISP Community,

Welcome to “Night at the Palace” the International School of Prague’s ninth Annual Fundraiser for Scholarships and Financial Aid!

We are delighted to be celebrating 70 years of ISP and fittingly to be hosting the premier event of the ISP social calendar back in the wondrous surroundings of the Lobkowicz Palace. For these 70 years, ISP has been dedicated to providing an exceptional education in a truly global environment. Over the years, the success of our Alumni is a tribute to the work not only of those who have worked at the School, but to those who have helped to ensure its firm financial foundation.

Now in its 20th year, the Scholarship program has made scholarships available to deserving recipients for whom an ISP education might be beyond reach. These students have brought as much our community as much as they have been taken. Your participation this evening, coupled with the generous support of our corporate donors, ensures that the scholarship program will continue in perpetuity.

Alexandr’s very much appreciated paintings of the classical old-fashioned Prague Trams have not only artistic merits but one day they might represent a historical value as well. 9. “Bleskovka” Sculptures with a story In "lightning strikes" Radek Kubina is only the "co-sculptor". A bolt of lightening selects a suitable tree for the work. If the oak is large enough and interesting, it chooses to hit it. The sculptors split the wood unremittingly. Then Radek Kubina completed a bespoke statue with respect to the original intentions of his fellow sculptor, lightning.

12. Rooftops I by Alexandr Onishenko Giclée Print on Canvas 60 x 60 cm

Alexandr Onishenko has become known not only by painting on Black Canvas but also with his paintings of Prague rooftops from the bird’s eye view. He was one of the very first artists who fell in love with these typical red roofs of the city and tried to capture their beauty on the canvas. By picturing those, he allows the viewer to soar with him over the rooftops of Prague like a bird.

17. Ego by Roza - Istanbul Painting on Scarf

Rozárie Kautmanová is a nine-year-old child painter with Wallachian roots. Her style can be called Impressionism, Realism, sometime even Cubism with her own child’s approach to expressing her moods and emotions. She paints her pictures with coal, tempera and acryl colours using the brushes, fingers, toothpicks and pieces of cloth. The motive is, for the first time, painted by acrylic colors on the canvas. After it's printed on scarf. So you can choose if you want to wear it or keep it framed.

Fishermen on Vltava River are important part of Prague atmosphere. Whenever Mr Onishenko takes a walk in Prague - he always walks the embankment of Vltava, for its beautiful and breathtaking themes for artist’s future paintings.

Night at the Palace Tickets, Auction Items and Contributions Night at the Palace attendees should be aware that the total price of entry is split into “ticket”, “auction item” and “contribution” categories for accounting reasons.

This breakdown means that of the price of attending the event, 3500 CZK, 1000 CZK is classed as a “contribution” to Scholarships at ISP, whereas 2500 CZK is classified as “ticket” or the cost of staging the event. In the case of ‘early bird’ attendees, the overall cost of entrance, 2800 CZK, breaks down as 300 CZK (contribution) and 2500 CZK (ticket). Similarly, the value of an auction item is deducted from what is ultimately paid by the successful bidder.

Please note: The Advancement Office will contact winning bidders regarding payment and collection of Silent Auction items following the event.
