Body bar is a spin off from "body pump" but Coach Topping style! We will have a fun and ever changing workout using light/moderate weights. DESTINATION IMAGINATION

In Destination Imagination (DI), students work together in small teams to solve open-ended STEM challenges and compete against other schools.

Students learn vital life and career skills—creative thinking, critical thinking, public speaking, and team based problem-solving. They imagine and innovate today so they become the creative and collaborative leaders of tomorrow. Check out the global DI programme here. Important: registration is for Fall AND Winter season with a tournament in February in London. There will be a cost attached to the tournament. Students are already pre-signed up for the winter season.

E-sports brings the world of gaming into an organised team sport with competitiveness, teamwork, and team structure. E-sports encourages further STEM interest, the development of the coordination of players, strategy, cooperation, and problem-solving skills. Gaming platforms will be provided. Kickboxing is back! This is a place where you can learn fun and safe techniques with a combination of traditional Bokator, Taekwondo, Karatedo, Filipino Martial Arts, and American Boxing. It is well known to improve coordination, strength, and confidence while learning the lifelongvalues of martial arts. No experience is needed—everyone is welcome to get active, learn new skills, and have fun.

Do you have interest in learning to coach and support the development of young volleyball players? Calling photographers of all skill levels. You will learn how to transform ordinary settings into amazing photos that leave an impression through the use of creative camera settings, lighting, and expert editing. Registrations are through SchoolsBuddy: isb.schoolsbuddy.net Use your ISB account (your single sign-on (SSO) the same you are using for PowerSchool and the Community Portal). Just go to the SchoolsBuddy website, click the Azure AD button and it will sign you in.

LATE BUSES SERVICE The late bus service is available from Monday to Thursday for students in grades 5-12.

Parents who wish to use this service for their children need to complete the following form : LATE BUS ACCESS FORM ISB Late Buses are now being integrated into the BatOnRoute Safe App. It will allow parents to track their child(ren)'s bus and ensure timely meetings at the bus stop.

For one-off use of late buses, please contact buses@isb.be or book an occasional trip via the BatOnRoute Safe App. For students in ILS classes, the registration form will only take effect once you have received approval from ISB PLUS. Please fill in ONE form per child.

The Brussels Sports Association (BSA) provides quality youth sports programming to players throughout the international community in Brussels. Current programs operate throughout the school year (fall/winter/spring) and include soccer, baseball, & basketball. BSA programs support players ages 4-13, and we welcome children of all skill levels & experience. Practices and most games are held on the ISB campus.

Club Infinity is an opportunity for students to explore mathematical puzzles, problem solving and games with their peers. In addition to recreational mathematics, students may choose to participate in different competitions including Mathcounts, Math Olympiad, AMC, and ISMTF. Every Wednesday in MS 212/215 and MS Math Collaboration Space from 15:45-17:00 + optional Tuesdays or Thursdays after school (for competitions).

Preparing and participating in MUN helps students develop leadership skills, research, writing, public speaking, and problem-solving skills.

Students can join the club to participate in simulations at school and can also choose to participate in international conferences throughout the year (optional).

NESDA (NEW EUROPEAN SPEECH AND DEBATE ASSOCIATION)

ISB's NESDA is a club that covers 6 different events - Debate, Oral Interpretation of Literature, Original Oratory, Impromptu Speaking, Impromptu Duet Acting and Duet Acting. This club is a great way to work on your confidence with public speaking and being comfortable in front of an audience. As a club and team, students work on all six events during practices, choosing 2–3 events to concentrate on during tournaments that compete with 10 other Schools throughout Europe. Students can join for each semester or for the whole year. The club meets every Tuesday during HS lunch from 12:10-12:40 and every Thursday from 15:45–17:00 beginning December 5th in room 113 of the HS basement floor.

CHAMBER MUSIC CLUB

The Chamber Music Club is an auditioned group for students with at least 6 years of experience playing piano or a string instrument (violin, viola, cello, bass). Students will have the opportunity to experience a chamber music ensemble and explore a wide variety of repertoire and musical styles. Rehearsals will take place on Mondays from 15:45 to 17:00.

Chorale is an auditioned singing group of HS students. An extension of the High School vocal programme, this group rehearses and performs advanced repertoire throughout the school year.

This exciting Theatre festival, open to any student interested in Drama, in Grades 6, 7 & 8, will take place on January 16th through 19th 2025 at Destelheide Educational Centre in Belgium.

During this three-day festival, students will be collaborating with other International School students and working towards a production to be performed on the final day of the festival.

Students will leave ISB by bus during the afternoon on Thursday 16th and return during the afternoon on Sunday 19th January. It is likely that we will return to Gare du Midi on Sunday, but this and exact times of travel will be confirmed later. Accommodation is provided on the festival site for the duration of the event. Students will stay in dormitories at Destelheide. All meals will be provided at Destelheide from dinner Thursday, 16 January 2025 – lunch Sunday, 19 January 2025.

For students who have at least one year of experience playing on their instrument. Jazz Lab is designed to introduce students to play in different styles of music. Jazz Lab performs in various venues throughout the year, on and off. Sessions run from from January 13th - June 12th.

ISB’s Private Music Lessons programme offers instrumental and vocal lessons to students of all ages on a flexible schedule. The lessons are for students of all grades, and the instruments offered are the following: Voice, Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass, Clarinet, Oboe, Flute, Trumpet, Trombone, Saxophone.

Drums/Percussion, Guitar and Piano.
