DESTELHEIDE ISTA THEATRE FESTIVAL

This exciting Theatre festival, open to any student interested in Drama, in Grades 6, 7 & 8, will take place on January 16th through 19th 2025 at Destelheide Educational Centre in Belgium During this three-day festival, students will be collaborating with other International School students and working towards a production to be performed on the final day of the festival Students will leave ISB by bus during the afternoon on Thursday 16th and return during the afternoon on Sunday 19th January It is likely that we will return to Gare du Midi on Sunday, but this and exact times of travel will be confirmed later Accommodation is provided on the festival site for the duration of the event Students will stay in dormitories at Destelheide All meals will be provided at Destelheide from dinner Thursday, 16 January 2025 – lunch Sunday, 19 January 2025

SUZUKI MUSIC LESSONS
NEW on offer from ISB’s Private Music Lessons programme: Suzuki violin and cello lessons!
With the Suzuki method children learn music similar to the way they learn their native tongue Language development starts at a young age when children imitate the words they hear They are encouraged by parents and they speak before learning to write Similarly, Suzuki students initially learn by rote and relies on parent involvement - being present during lessons and home practice and letting the child listen to Suzuki songs and other music in the home environment
These lessons for ECC students aged 3 and older will be taught by two qualified Suzuki teachers: Dr Ramos for cello, and Mrs Hayashi for violin
