As we move into this important period, it's great to see that one of the keypillars underpinningourstrategy–ExceptionalEducation–isalreadybringinginresultsfor our Class of 2026 This year’s seniors have already received over 280 university acceptances, a remarkable achievement that reflects both their ambition and dedication. From globally renowned institutions to highly competitive programmes across the UK, US, Canada, and Europe, our students continue to demonstrate resilienceandacommitmenttoexcellence.Staytunedformoregreatnewsoverthe comingmonths!
ExceptionalEducationatISBisdefinednotonlybyhighacademicachievement,but alsobymeaningfulopportunitiesforalllearners.Whichiswhywehaveexpandedour Intensive Learning Support provision, creating space for more students while strengthening the quality of support available. This reflects our commitment to ensuring that every learner is known, supported, and able to pursue their individual goals Inlinewithourmissionof“everyoneincluded,challenged,andsuccessful”,we strivetoensurethatallstudentsleaveISBonapathwaythatempowersthemtothrive andsucceedbeyondschool.
Inthecomingweeks,wearealsopleasedtoofferfamiliesvaluableopportunitiesto engage with university pathways. On 6 May, we will host the Inclusive European University Fair, a unique virtual event dedicated to connecting students with intellectual and developmental disabilities with universities that prioritise belonging, independence,andopportunitiestofollowtheirchosencareerpath.Thiseventwillbe followedon11MaybytheEuropeanUniversityFair,hostedoncampus,wherefamilies canmeetover100universityrepresentatives,exploreawiderangeofprogrammes, and gain insights directly from admissions experts. Together, these events are designed to support informed decision-making and help guide all students toward theirfuturewithconfidence
Lastly, we are honoured to welcome Jenny Anderson to ISB on 12 and 13 May An award-winningjournalist,speaker,andco-authorofTheDisengagedTeen, sheisa respectedvoiceineducationandparenting.Duringhervisit,shewillsharevaluable insightsintohowchildrenbecomemotivatedandsuccessfullearners,withafocuson buildingstudentagency,resilience,andlifelongcuriosity
