Born in Brussels, Josh spent seven formative years at ISB before studying at Tufts University and earning a Master’s in Education at UMass Boston. Now a World History teacher outside Boston, he still draws on the international outlook and French he gained at ISB, skills that help him connect with his students, many of whom are Haitian and benefit from his bilingual skills. His fondest memories include trips to Florence, Normandy, and the Côte d’Or chocolate factory!

MarionSheridan,Classof1974
Arriving at ISB as a junior was a big adjustment for Marion, her first major move, and she missed her friends back in Chicago. But by senior year, she had found her place on the volleyball and basketball teams and built lasting friendships. After ISB, Marion studied at the University of Illinois and the University of Washington, later moving to Alaska to teach before settling in Olympia, Washington, where she raised three children. Now happily retired, she credits ISB’s inspiring teachers with sparking her passion for education and giving her the confidencetothriveinanyenvironment.
Her advice to today’s students: Go for it! ISB’s teachers are extraordinary, and their dedication will staywithyoulongaftergraduation.
