Grading Scale at ISB The chart below overviews ISB’s grading structure in the Upper School. The High School includes Grades 10-12; Grade 9 is housed in the Middle School. Please note that ISB does not grade with or report using percentages. The grade scale at ISB is 1-7, regardless of external qualifications. Our grades are ultimately tied to descriptive indicators and curriculum standards. The equvalency is shared here to support universities and external organisations who are more familiar with this model. ISB has an open enrolment policy, and students join us from many different educational systems from around the world. In line with our school’s mission and values, ISB does not calculate Grade Point Average (GPA) or rank our students.
