Dear Friends and Family of ISB, As the end of 2016 approaches, I am happy to take a moment to share and remember the important milestones of the 2015-2016 school year. Last year’s growth took us to new heights – 331 students in Nursery through 8th Grade Grade; over 12,000 additional square feet of space for our growing program; and new technology for our classrooms. We participated in the international debate competition Ambassadeurs en Herbe and hosted the ISA conference and many speakers, including Dr. Stevenson, re-launched our website, and finished the year 37 Alumni strong. In 2015-2016 our community also reached a new milestone with the completion of the Capital Campaign for Today and Tomorrow. We secured $327,292 in 2015-2016, bringing the total funds raised to $534,792 and making this ISB’s largest capital campaign to date. The facilities growth that this campaign gave us was crucial to the strengthening of our program. It brought us a new Gym, Cafeteria, staff room, Admissions Office, Reception area, and sunlit Art and Music studios. It also gave us the resources to make important safety updates to fire and security systems, as well as to create the Learning Commons space in the Lower Level of the West Building. This new Learning Commons will house an expanded Library, multi-purpose rooms, study spaces, conference rooms, and administrative offices. I could not be prouder of the commitment that our community demonstrates to the continual growth and strengthening of our school. Our collective efforts – students, staff, families, community supporters and donors – keep ISB tied to its core mission and vision: developing adventurers, creating advocates, and shaping leaders. Thank you for being a part of this important work. I hope you enjoy reading this report and celebrating our continued growth and achievements.

Sincerely,

Rebecca Skinner ISB Head of School and Co-Founder

Dear ISB Families and Friends, So much has happened at ISB in the past year! The community came together to fund our Capital Campaign covering renovations in the North Building, upgrades to the West Building, and the beautiful design and execution of the new Learning Commons. ISB graduated its second group of 8th graders and sent them off to a diverse and dynamic group of independent, public and parochial high schools in New York. The Board of Trustees and a team of faculty, staff, parents, students and alumni began work on Vision 2020, a strategic plan that will take ISB into its next phase of growth. This year, ISB also renamed its annual fund the ISB Annual Fund for Excellence, a name that more accurately describes our community’s commitment to supporting outstanding ISB programs. The Board of Trustees launched the Annual Fund for Excellence with a collective contribution of $60,500, and the ISB community has given generously toward our goal of $200,000. We thank all families, staff, and friends who have already leant their financial support to the Annual Fund for Excellence, and we invite all of you to help us reach our goal by pledging prior to December 31, 2016! As every year passes, ISB is able to add new and exciting elements to its programs, and none of this would be possible without the generosity of our community. The Board of Trustees thanks you for your continued support of ISB and wishes you a happy and prosperous 2017! Warm Regards,

Nancy Woodruff President, ISB Board of Trustees
