Welcome to International Experience (iE)! We are a non-profit educational exchange organization founded in 2000 with a proven and continued success record. Our work is based on our business principles of honesty, transparency and providing the overall best experience for our agents, students, parents, host families and staff. Based on our current partner feedback iE is considered a recognized leader in student exchange with a high standard that goes above and beyond the global expectation. We operate headquarters in the USA and Europe and other offices with representatives in more than fifteen countries. In addition, we work together with our trusted partners throughout our international network. iE is still a family-owned business that has maintained the ideals and principles of Manfred Gillner, founding member of iE. Mr. Gillner worked as one of the first German teachers in the USA in the 1960's as part of the "Senator Fulbright Program.� His formative experience and dedication to the field of international student exchange significantly impacted iE’s development and vision. To this day, our mission remains true: provide education, support and guidance that enables cultural experiences built upon real relationships while promoting understanding, cooperation and growth between students, their host families and their host communities. Our iE-family of more than 350 dedicated staff and partners worldwide is an eclectic mix of teachers, university professors, Fulbright Alumni and former exchange students who have extensive international experience themselves. The iE team’s goal is to provide a personalized, relationship-focused platform in which international students, their host families and their host communities connect, relate and explore both the differences that define us as well as the similarities that unite us. Through our combined experiences we provide opportunities for meaningful cultural exchange, helping to create a world where cultural diversity is valued and celebrated. Thanks to our global network of offices, representatives and partners in many countries, we are able to offer our full portfolio: properly placing high school students from around the world in carefully vetted host families while attending private and public high schools or boarding schools. Within our wide range of possibilities, iE is able to customize to fit your needs.
Zooming In: iE-USA 1 country, 3 great programs Private School • Public School • Boarding School iE-USA is a unique exchange organization where students come first. We take pride in offering the highest standards and a personalized approach. Consider: • iE works on behalf of its students to secure scholarships and discounts at tuition-based schools. In one year alone we negotiated more than $649,000 in discounts for our students. On average we secure a 40% discount. • iE works with a network of more than 7,000 private schools. • iE works with a network of more than 14,000 accredited public schools. • iE works with a network of more than 300 boarding schools. • iE provides a personal approach, working with students and their parents to select the school and program that’s right for them based on their specific needs. Many organizations only place students in a small group of pre-selected schools in order to meet their contract quotas. iE does NOT! • iE accepts special requests for placements in specific locations and schools offering specific programs (AP classes, specific sports and activities, etc). • iE goes above and beyond the standards given by the Dept. of State, offering a higher standard of care for our students. And although it is not required for our private and boarding school programs, iE voluntarily follows these regulations as well! Example: DoS requires personal visits only twice per year, but iE requires visits every 60 days! • iE offers student trips to New York, California and Hawaii.

iE-USA offers a college program for degree-seeking students, and students who simply want to experience college life in another country.
• iE specializes in local problem resolution. If a student needs guidance and/or support, iE has someone in his/her town to help. • iE offers a team to give students many layers of support. Students have the support of their Local Coordinator, Regional Director, Student Case Manager, student mentor, home-country agent, and the rest of the iE-USA staff.
