Mission Accomplished!
Dr. Anderegg, Pat, Midge, Selena, and Marla (not shown)! Bellevue Periodontist and Navy veteran, Dr. C.R. Anderegg has been an amazing supporter of combat veterans and his involvement with E4V. He honored Vietnam Veteran, Steve Pike, with the gift of multiple extractions, bone grafts and dental implants to help restore his smile! Of course, the staff is a huge part in helping the veteran feel comfortable coming into the dental office. jungle for almost 6 months. Returning stateside, he was not received well by the U.S., but was fortunate to have great family support. He has challenges with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), but handles it. He was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2015, but has had chemo and things are looking good. This dental treatment was just what he needed to heighten his spirits! Thank you Dr. Anderegg, Pat, Midge, Selena, and Marla (not shown)! Thank you to all who signed on as an E4V Dentist and E4V Wingman! It is good to be ready when our low-income combat veterans and families need us, so if you haven’t already signed up with us, please do! In the words of Marcia Lupton: Respect for Dr. Cheng sparked my interest in E4V. My main reason to volunteer is my belief that we should thank and support veterans for their service, as they re-enter civilian life. Lack of comprehensive dental care is a glaring omission and can limit a person’s choices. Veteran issues transcend political affiliation. Soldiers go where they are sent and when they come home, they deserve a hand up if they need it. I don’t have a long history of volunteerism but felt this was a manageable task I could fit into my busy retirement life; making phone calls an hour a week for E4V is easy and the least I can do for our combat veterans.
