Discover the Power of CoMMunity with the International Myeloma Foundation
When you or a loved one is diagnosed with myeloma, the path ahead can feel uncertain, but you don’t have to walk it alone. At the International Myeloma Foundation (IMF), we believe community is one of the most powerful forms of support.
That’s why we’ve built the world’s most trusted and connected network of myeloma support groups.
Whether you’re newly diagnosed, navigating a relapse, or supporting a loved one, there’s a group for you.
No matter where you are on your myeloma journey, we are here to support you.
Searching for Options? We’ve Got 150+ Support Groups— and Counting!
Across the U.S. and around the globe, the IMF connects patients and care partners through in-person and virtual support groups. Find knowledge, guidance, and community close to home or online.

Living with myeloma—or supporting someone who is— can feel isolating. But you’re not alone.
Our Virtual Special Interest Support Groups are designed to complement local support groups by providing additional, tailored support for patients with specific needs or circumstances. These groups bring together people who share similar life experiences, creating spaces where you can speak freely, be understood, and feel supported.
These groups meet regularly online and include:
• Veterans living with myeloma
• Patients with young children
• Individuals without a care partner
• Care partners supporting a loved one
• Those with high-risk myeloma
• Those with smoldering myeloma
• Personas que hablan español
No matter your situation, there’s a group that understands. Come as you are. Leave feeling seen. Find them at support.myeloma.org
Each year, we engage over one hundred volunteer support group leaders with training, education, inspiration, and peer connection. It’s how we empower our leaders to better serve—and grow—their local myeloma community.
We invite a small group of passionate support group leaders to the American Society of Hematology (ASH) Annual Meeting—the world’s leading conference on blood cancer research. As part of our Myeloma Voices at ASH team, these leaders hear about the latest breakthroughs directly from experts—and bring that knowledge back to the global myeloma community.
Support is essential. That’s why it stands as one of our four founding pillars. No one should face myeloma alone—which is why we’ve built the largest community dedicated to empowering patients and care partners, ensuring that everyone affected by myeloma feels seen, heard, and supported every step of the way.
