Founded in 1989, Interna is an Italian industrial group, leader in the sector of the contract furnishings worldwide. It operates within the high-end market and stands out for excellence in products and services and for a solid international management.

Interna develops and manages all-encompassing turnkey furnishing projects with supply of ad hoc designed furniture, cooperating with prestigious interior design studios and renowned purchasing companies, appointed by the client for each single project.

More than three decades ago Interna began its activity within the hospitality sector where it holds today a position of excellence with a reference list of hundreds of terrific projects, implemented all over the five continents, unique for their historic or artistic value. Starting from 2005, thanks to the technical and managerial experience acquired over the years, and to the constant cooperation with major hotel chains, prestigious designers and respected international purchasing companies, Interna expanded its range of activities, addressing other contract sectors such as luxury residential, retail, marine, corporate and wellness.

Interna turnkey includes internal building works, finishes and decorations, as well as fixed and loose furniture for indoors and outdoors. Its scope of work spans from the executive planning to the production of all fixed and loose components of the project, from logistics to installation on site, from final testing to post sales assistance, always in accordance with quality, prices and deadlines agreed upon.

Interna products are created ad hoc for each single project: they can be produced exclusively upon client’s design or selected from Interna own collections and customized in terms of finishes and materials, so to suit the cultural genius loci of the client.

With a dedicated team and hundreds of persons working in linked companies, Interna offers today its services to large international investors who want to create prestigious furnishing projects, characterized by unique design and by a often complex management due to the dimensions of the project, the specificity of the products, the everpressing deadlines and the particular locations.

Interna acts in Asia and the Pacific area with two sister companies, one based in Shanghai and one in Singapore. Both companies are an integral part of Interna Group and 100% controlled by the Italian parent company Interna Holding spa, fully owned by its founders Diego and Derna Travan. Interna Asia Pacific and Interna Singapore have the aim of meeting the ever-growing demands coming from the Asian-Pacific market for know-how in the production of high-end turnkey furniture for luxury spaces, both private and public.

Thanks to the 30 years experience of the Group in managing international turnkey projects, these two local units are able to offer highly competitive prices for products and services with the highest quality standards, bringing to each project implemented the added value of the Italian manufacturing tradition.

Interna Asia Pacific Co Ltd, based in Shanghai, and Interna Singapore Pte Ltd coordinate the complex activity of turnkey furnishing projects for the niche luxury market in the Far East and the Pacific area. They were founded respectively in 2010 and 2018 even though Interna implemented in previous years various projects in this area within the high-end residential, hospitality and retail sectors.

With a team of technicians and project managers, both Asian and Italian ones, who earned their spurs with many years in Interna Italy, they act both as contractors companies, with 100% local production and as trait-d’union between the client and Interna Italy for 100% Made in Italy.

The Six Senses Maxwell, the second project for the Thailand based hotel chain in Singapore, is a luxury renovation project of colonial-style buildings upon design of the French Maestro Jacques Garcia.

The project, with its impeccable quality, is the tangible result of the outstanding interaction, both in terms of production and management, of Interna Italy and Interna Asia Pacific. The scope of works of Interna included the complete fit out, under the design direction of Ms Laleh Amirassefi, of fixed and loose furniture for the public areas and the guest rooms. In detail Interna supplied: for the public areas: bar counters, armchairs, lounge tables and chairs, coffee tables, wooden and hand painted fabric boiseries, fitted walls and magic mirror TV sets vanities, mirrors, decorative doors and portals, waiter stations, glass and wooden cabinets, niches and benches, dining tables and chairs, folding screens with built in herbarium; for the spa and wellness centre: reception desk and cabinetry of the treatment rooms; for the guest rooms: bedheads, upholsteries, minibar, screens, cupboards, vanities and mirrors.

The project, along with the beautiful custom made items, includes many loose ones selected from Interna’s own collection Les Grands Classiques de Jacques Garcia, customized with refined fabrics and luxurious finishes.

The Six Senses Maxwell follows the Six Senses Duxton - ID Anouska Hempel-, commissioned by the same client and completed in spring 2018 by Interna with the highest standards for design and quality.

Interna implemented the works for this magnificent presidential office located at the top of a technological skyscraper in Hong Kong.

This luxurious project envisaged the production and installation of all the millwork - doors, built-in wardrobes and boiseries-, the custom-made Swarovski chandeliers and part of the loose furniture for the office and for the more private presidential spaces, all produced with the highest levels of quality.

For Interna the major challenge, and the most satisfying result, has been the careful selection of each single element of briar-root as to preserve the wonderful patterns of the wood and allow for each part of the millwork to appear as a single, continuous element that runs on the walls and on the doors.

The refined wood essence, the sparkling crystal chandeliers and the satin brass accents create an ambience that exudes style and elegance while always maintaining the perfect comfort for long working hours.

The Six Senses Duxton is located within a row of traditional trading houses in Singapore’s colorful Chinatown and has been restored in 2018 following the design of the renowned British designer Anouska Hempel.The hotel offers guests a luxurious and sophisticated experience in a setting that is an ingenious mix of Chinese, Malay and European elements. For this rare pearl of Singapore Interna Asia Pacific was called to supply fix and loose furniture for the public areas as well as for all the rooms and suites. All the items are one-offs, designed, produced and installed turnkey with painstaking attention to every single detail and in compliance with the highest quality standards.

The rich lobby features large gilded fans, with intense hues of black, gold and yellow, layered with Oriental screens and calligraphy wallpaper.

Gold takes center stage in the Yellow Pot restaurant which offers classic and innovative Chinese cuisine.

A property highlight is the resident traditional Chinese physician who offers readings, health recommendations and a medicinal herbal dispensary.

Each of the 49 guestrooms and suites take on a unique personality so that no two are exactly the same. From the magnificent Montgomerie Suite to the smaller spaces the designer refers to as petite grandeur, the elegant bespoke furnishings and the stylish ambience characterize every moment of the experience.

The location reflects on the interior, with a design approach that has been defined as industrial chic: elegant lines, trendy colour and fashionable finishes all well mixed.This is the second QT hotel for Interna, that cooperated with Indyk Architects for projects in Sydney and in Wellington.

Housed in a 1950s heritage Art Deco building, the Vagabond Club is a luxury boutique hotel in Singapore. It opened its doors in mid 2015 after a magnificent ID work by the world renowned French designer Jacques Garcia and is the first concept of the Maestro in Asia. Interna implemented this prestigious turnkey project through its sister company Interna Asia Pacific that since 2010 brings Italian quality and charm to the Asian-Pacific area.

Interna’s scope of work was the supply of all loose furniture and joinery for both public areas and guestrooms: chairs, armchairs, stools, sofas and benches, desks, tables and consoles, banquettes, bar counters, kitchen counters, wall panelling, headboards, screens and wardrobes. Many items produced for this project have been selected and customized in terms of sizes, finishes and materials from the 2005 Interna furniture collection Les Grands Classiques de Jacques Garcia, that counts more than 50 exclusive items produced with the best manufacture, the most noble materials and the utmost care to even the smallest detail.

The project Private Villa in Shenzhen, a residential mansion of great charm and, at the same time, of great technical complexity, located in the shopping metropolis of South-East China, has been for Interna a passionate and successful challenge.

The interior design was signed by the studio Bilkey Llinas Design Hong Kong and has envisaged an haute couture concept for hundreds of items. Everything has been designed and produced one-off in Italy, according incomparable executive standards and employing a number of extremely precious materials.

Interna’s scope of work included the supply of loose furniture, lamps, curtains, soft furnishings and accessories for a whole, immense, luxurious residence. Each item produced is a unique manufacture masterpiece created by master carvers, glassmakers and Italian masters decorators according to ancient traditions, which are rooted in the Italian spirit, in its cultural wealth and its unique artistic substrate. It is thanks to this age-old expertise, mixed with a high-tech management approach, that Interna could express here its excellence and bring to the other side of the world

the best of the Italian manufacturing on time, within the budget and with the quality standard agreed upon.

Interna Asia Pacific supported the project acting here as trait-d’union between Interna Italy and the client and coordinating the complex relations between owner, designer and the Italian technical and manufacturing team for a 100% Made in Italy production.

Interna supplied a part of the loose furniture for the Junction Grill Restaurant of the Crown Metropol Hotel in 2012. Again, in 2015 it supplied sophisticated tables and chairs for the exclusive Crystal Club, located on the 14th floor of the Crown Towers, the pinnacle of luxury in Perth.

Interna supplied the interiors for the living area of a sophisticated private residence in Singapore, following all the steps of planning and production of the items created upon design of the interior decorator Cameron Woo. Interna Asia Pacific scope of work was to supervise the implementation and the logistics of the exclusive supply of all loose furniture 100% custom Made in Italy. The project envisaged casegoods and upholstered items, the latest made particularly soft and comfortable by dacron and natural down padding upholstered with refined fabrics such as linen, velvets and silks. Masterpiece of the Italian craftsmanship is the dining table. The top, more than 5 meters long, is made of marble and oakwood with a golden finish, whereas the structure, result of a particular casting process, is made of brass and plexiglas. A magnetic anchoring allows for a easy change of the top: the table, in fact, has been supplied with an additional top in red lacquered finish to be used during the festivities.

Interna brought the Italian manufacture tradition to Qingdao, one of the most exclusive seaside locations in China. Here, in the most trendy area of the city, Interna Asia Pacific supervised, after the Italian Villa, the implementation of another prestigious residential project, an exclusive French Villa, with hundreds of exclusively designed and produced casegoods, lamps and upholstered items, 100% Made in Italy by Interna.

The design, work of the Hong Kong based Bilkey-Llinas Design studio, is strongly influenced by Louis XVI style, with eclectic items balanced between neoclassicism and rococo. The client greatly appreciated the many pieces with porcelain inlays and the numerous decorative items matched with the furniture which perfectly meet the taste of the new growing Chinese upper class. All the items are 100% Made in Italy and each single piece underlines the Italian manufacture skilfulness made of antique techniques and practised manual skills.

Interna spread the Italian manufacturing culture in Qingdao, exclusive vacation seaside location in China. Here, within a refined and elegant neighbourhood, Interna, with the assistance of its sister company Interna Asia Pacific, supplied hundreds of unique items of furniture and lighting for a charming Italian Villa, a luxurious private residence.

The villa, with a private garden of more than 3000 square metres, indoor and outdoor swimming pool and gym, reflects the elegant atmosphere of the Italian Renaissance and well meets the request of the contemporary affluent consumers of China. For this villa, Interna painstakingly created, upon design, hundreds of unique items, all of which are 100% Made in Italy. Each single piece is evidence of the ability of Italian craftsmen, who still use traditional techniques and materials to create items that are almost pieces of art, with selected essences of wood that recall another époque.

Located on the fringe of Sydney’s CBD, the Blacktown is the first Atura Hotel. Created by the same innovative team that was behind the stylish QT hotels in Sydney and on the Gold Coast, Atura Blacktown is the prototype for this hotel brand for the Australian market: fun and functional hotels with a dynamic, youthful design located in city fringe suburbs and business parks.

After its successful involvement with the QT Sydney, Interna Asia Pacific was chosen again to supply custom-made furniture for the guestrooms of this hotel. Following the urban industrial designs of the PTI Group and interior design Architect Nicholas Graham & Associates, the team of Interna Asia Pacific produced all the guestroom fit-outs including the plywood cabinetry and the 1950’s inspired loose furniture.

QT Gowings & State Theatre

The hottest boutique hotel in Sydney, the QT hotel has been created within the historic Gowings and State Theatre buildings on the corner of George and Market Streets.

Interna, together with its sister company in Shanghai, Interna Asia Pacific, was chosen to supply the custom made furniture for the guestrooms and selected public areas.

Indyk Architects were the architects for the interior planning layouts and realization of 200 guestrooms and their hallways. The spaces are designed for an artistic, quirky elite that love the ‘art’ of hotel staying, the excitement of a new experience, valuing high level design and desiring comfort and surprise. Indyk Architects worked with the remnant historical details to create a new modern language of design with bespoke detailing at every turn. Rooms planned within the old buildings have diversity and uniqueness. There are four colour palettes over the two buildings, accompanied by various fabric options, a diverse and quirky range of lighting including pendants, standing and bedside lights, curtains and a selection of timbers for the joinery. All built in and loose furniture was custom designed and produced with the highest quality standard.

Interna produced fabulous results with the quality of all loose furniture. Their service was highly professional. It was a pleasure working with them.

International Class A intelligent office building, the World Trade Center Business club stands out against the skyline of Nanjing, covering the last three floors of the skyscraper designed by the world renown architectural firm Gensler. Kerry Center is one of the most outstanding 5 star hotels in Beijing. The renovation has given a fresh look to the building that includes Shangri-La and other renowed brands. Great importance has been given to the lobby, a frenetic place where every day, hundreds of people pop in, get to know each other or meet to do business. White marble has been used for flooring and wall coverings, while wooden and brass decorative elements underline the overall luxury, while maintaining a warm and cosy atmosphere. At the center of the Bund waterfront area, Bund18 is a landmark in Shanghai. Historical Preservation Building that won the 2006 UNESCO Asia-Pacific Heritage Award of Excellence for Culture Heritage Conservation, it is now a luxury hub with commercial, cultural and entertainment spaces designed by Kokaistudios. The loose furniture of the main lobby on the ground floor, surrounded by boutiques, was supplied by Interna Asia Pacific, with many items selected from Interna’s own collections.
