The question of secure children's centers in Lithuania has received a lot of attention in recent years. Implementation of substantial structural changes of these public bodies is under serious consideration by responsible national authorities. Hence the aim of this project: to establish a new secure children's center for boys. The establishment will be situated in Gailiai town, Lioliai eldership, in a site provided by the Lithuanian Ministry of Education and Science specifically for this purpose. The intention behind the project is to create physical spaces, based on the analysis of juvenile offenders' behavior and needs, that would not only facilitate children's integration into society, but would also help improve their inner state and personal growth. Priority areas include learning and living spaces and the structure of the inner courtyard.
