At INTEGRIS Health Hospice, meaningful services bring real comfort and support to patients and their families. Pet therapy introduces the joy and calm of animals, helping to ease stress and uplift spirits. Grief support groups provide a safe, nurturing space for families to share their stories, offering much-needed solace as they navigate challenging times. Additionally, books are provided to help children understand and cope with their grief in ways that are both comforting and accessible.
Volunteers play a special role, providing friendship and creating meaningful connections through quality time. Families can also create treasured memory keepsakes—such as handprints or photo albums—to capture and preserve precious moments with their loved ones. During the holiday season, donated meals allow families to gather and make new, joyful memories together. For our veteran patients, special pinning ceremonies honor their service, fostering a sense of pride and recognition.
These thoughtful gestures made possible by the generosity of donors reflect our deep commitment to ensuring each patient experiences comfort, dignity and care.
At INTEGRIS Health Hospice House, we recently welcomed a patient who had faced the challenges of homelessness throughout much of her life. As her illness became more severe, a local non-profit provided her with a place to live, while our hospice team began caring for her. When her condition required more intensive care, she was brought to the INTEGRIS Health Hospice House, where she spent her final days surrounded by compassion. Her significant other never missed a single visit, staying close by her side each day.
One morning, deeply moved by the care his loved one received, this gentleman asked to speak with our chaplain. He expressed his heartfelt gratitude for every act of kindness shown to both him and his partner during such a difficult time. Holding back tears, he handed over a folded envelope, saying, “You’ve given us so much comfort. I found this in her things, and it’s all she had—she would want you to have it.” Inside the envelope was $34.23, a final gesture from a woman who had so little but gave all she could.
This profound act of generosity touched every one of us at INTEGRIS Health Hospice. It’s stories like these that show the deep impact of the love and support our donors make possible. Your gifts are not just contributions— they are lifelines that allow us to care for the most vulnerable with dignity, grace, and compassion.
Your selflessness has made a difference and touched lives in ways you may never fully realize. We are deeply grateful for your ongoing support in helping us continue this important mission.
