Operational Highlights

Through the partnership with Hazelden Betty Ford, Arcadia Trails began providing phone support during off-hours in early April. Patients now have more than 40 additional hours of live phone access to help each week.

A new patient portal for Arcadia Trails went live on May 6th. The portal provides educational information about addiction and mental health along with free assessments to understand if resources or support are needed. This free resource is available to patients and the public.

A new room and board program has been implemented to make access more affordable. When patients transition from inpatient care to partial hospitalization in order to meet insurance requirements, Arcadia Trails now allows the patient to stay in their room during the remainder of their treatment for a fee.

Arcadia Trails’ gross patient revenue increased 80.1% over last year with a net gain of 77.9%.

Patient Assistance

In order to increase access to top-tier addiction treatment, Arcadia Trails has established a patient access fund for qualified patients seeking care. Recipients of these funds are selected using a standardized assessment tool which calculates each person’s need based on their income, property value, net assets and the number of dependents.

Arcadia Trails is currently able to provide detox, inpatient treatment and outpatient care for three to five patients monthly at a cost of $15,000$20,000 depending on each person’s case.

There is currently a discrepancy between the prescribed number of days required for inpatient treatment and the number of days insurance will cover. Patient assistance funds fill the gap and also help cover the cost of medications, ensuring each person receive the highest level of treatment.

70% of patients receiving assistance from the patient access fund are underinsured and 30% are without insurance altogether. The INTEGRIS Health Foundation partners with donors to increase the availability of these funds and eliminate financial barriers to overcoming addiction.
