The number one reason people give for not seeking treatment is cost.
More than 750,000 Oklahomans are trapped in addiction. In fact, less than ten percent of people struggling ever get professional help. Certainly, stigma and shame play a big part in this, but financial barriers compound the challenge. With our patient assistance fund, we can help individuals get the services and resources they need to recover for good.
Arcadia Trails provides holistic state-of-the-art drug and alcohol treatment. Clinicians and caregivers also treat co-existing disorders like depression, anxiety, and PTSD while the patient receives care through residential treatment, partial hospitalization, intensive inpatient and outpatient programs and medication-assisted therapy.
More than 16% of Oklahomans abuse alcohol and other substances. Our state ranks 44 out of 50 for adults who experience addiction or dependency. In 2022, nearly 1,200 Oklahomans died from a drug overdose and we ranked sixth for alcohol-related mortality. Abuse and addiction play a major role in accidents, suicides and homicides.
The number one reason people do not seek help is affordability. Less than 10% of people experiencing addiction get medical treatment to achieve sobriety. Most individuals are uninsured or undersinsured — making it impossible to receive the professional level of care they need in order to get back to a stable life.
The Arcadia Trails Patient Assistance Fund removes the barrier of affordability. Last year, ten percent of patients received some form of financial aid for care. This year, our goal is to double that. The need will continue to grow for these vital services. With your support, we will expand access to recovery and well-being for all.
Arcadia Trails provides treatment for people from all
“Over the past several years, the Arcadia Trails Patient Assistance Fund has allowed Oklahomans to get life-saving care when they otherwise would have been unable to receive it. care is an investment in our community — thank you.”
