Jaw Faces for Manual Wedge Action Grips
2703 Series jaw faces are for Instron® 2716 and 2736 Series wedge action grips. Variations of flat surfaces and vee-grooved faces have been developed to accommodate a wide range of requirements. The faces are made of vanadium steel and are serrated for maximum gripping effectiveness. Serrations of 16 and 25 teeth per inch are available.
• Suitable for: Tension applications for wires, plastics, metals, and other rigid and semi-rigid materials

• Specimens may be round or flat
Jaw Faces for Screw Action and Pneumatic Action Grips
2702 Series jaw faces are for Instron 2710 and 2712 Series side action grips. Not every face can be used to test every material. A variety of flat surfaces have been developed to accommodate a wider range of requirements. The faces are provided with serrations, smooth, rubber-coated, high-friction compound and wave profile for maximum gripping effectiveness. Vee faces with serrations or rubber inserts can be used with round specimens.
• Suitable for: Tension applications for wires, plastics, metals, elastomers, and textiles
Jaw Faces for Fatigue-Rated Hydraulic Wedge Grips
2703 and 2704 Series flat and vee-faces accommodate a wide range of specimen sizes in both flats and rounds, and feature serrated or carbide surfaces for optimim gripping.
• Suitable for: Static and fatigue tests on a wide variety of metallic and rigid non-metallic materials including composites
Buttonhead and Threaded Specimen Holders
Holders are available to suit metallic threaded end or buttonhead specimen styles in a range of different force capacities and sizes. Threaded holders allow the specimen to be located directly by matching threads on the specimen. Buttonhead holders support the specimen under its shoulders.

• Suitable for: Tests on threaded and buttonhead specimens made from metals and alloys
