Thermo-Mechanical Systems

From very simple units for QC labs to more advanced and automated systems, the Instron® thermo-mechanical systems are designed to determine the behavior of plastic materials at high temperatures, measuring the heat deflection temperature (HDT) and the Vicat softening temperature (VST) according to ISO and ASTM international standards.

HDT and Vicat Testers

HDT and Vicat testers offer two different bath dimensions and can host from 2 up to 6 testing stations, both for manual and automated test cycles. The HV500 Thermal Tester performs HDT and Vicat tests, at temperatures up to 500°C, by using an innovative heating system with Aluminum Oxide micrometer-sized powder.
