DYNAMIC TESTING SYSTEMS
ElectroPuls Systems
Dynamic testing systems are generally used to test materials and components in cyclic fatigue to either characterize materials or simulate long-term operation. For these machines, test loads range from 10 N up to 2500 kN.
The ElectroPuls™ test instruments are state-of-the-art, electrodynamic testing systems featuring linear motor technology for lower force dynamic and static tests on materials and components. Test loads typically range from sub-newton up to 20,000 N. They are all-electric and do not require any additional air, hydraulics, water or special utilities.
Applications for dynamic systems range from biomechanical simulation of orthopedic implants to aircraft engine turbine blades being tested under simultaneous thermal and mechanical loads. Many real life loading conditions on materials and components involve impact or high levels of loading and strain rates. The Instron® VHS systems are designed to perform tests under constant strain rate conditions up to velocities of 25 m/s.
Instron’s product range and applications experience for dynamic and fatigue testing is second to none. Our systems include advanced digital control electronics, load sensors with built-in inertia compensation to automatically remove error signals, and the latest application software WaveMatrix2™.
