3400 Series Systems

The 3400 Series universal testing machines range in capacity from 500 N to 100 kN and are designed to meet all of your force testing needs. Instron’s patent-pending Operator Protect system architecture makes the 3400 Series simpler, smarter, and safer than ever. Designed to perform tensile, compression, flex, peel, puncture, friction, shear tests, and more, these systems are compatible with hundreds of grips and fixtures found in our expansive accessory catalog.

Three model types are available: single column, table top dual column, and a floor model. The 34SC single column systems are ideal for tension and/or compression applications where tests are less than 5 kN (1,100 lbf), lab space is limited, and free access to the test area is desirable. Dual column table tops are available in load force capacities of 5, 10, 30, and 50 kN for routine and everyday testing; and a 100 kN floor model is available for more robust applications.

The 3400 Series brings system controls closer than ever with the all-new operator panel. Improve ergonomics and throughput by starting and stopping tests, jogging the crosshead, and returning to the starting position directly from the instrument.
