Accessories are available for ISO 179, BS 2782-359, DIN 53453, and DIN 53753. Since the hammer energy determines the velocity of test, the vice required and the shoulders should be chosen based on the specimen size. Samples are aligned on the fixture either by a notch alignment device or side alignment device for un-notched specimens. Instrumented hammers are available and, when combined with a DAS and VisualIMPACT software, will provide load-displacement data for the test.
