AIR KITS FOR PNEUMATIC GRIPS

Pneumatic air kits, foot switches or distribution kits help simplify and speed up grip closure. The foot switch capability frees up both hands to handle the specimen while the foot actuates the grip closure. Depending on the model type, an automatic electrical foot switch can also provide pre-tension grip control for applications, such as textile testing.

Principle of Operation

The automatic air kit can be operated by simply stepping on a switch to close the grips, or settings can be arranged in the controller to automatically close on a pre-defined load reading (pre-tension) and open based on specimen break. The pneumatic foot switch channels the air to either close or open the grip on demand. The air distribution kit is available to provide air to the grips which have an integrated air valve, with one hand required to operate the grips.
