PNEUMATIC WEDGE ACTION GRIP JAW FACES

This series of grip faces is designed to provide the best possible gripping for Instron’s 2716 Series, W-5180 and W-5190 pneumatic wedge action grips. Not every face can be used to test every material. Variations of flat surfaces and grooved faces have been developed to accommodate a wider range of requirements. The faces are designed with serrations of 20 or 25 teeth per inch for maximum gripping effectiveness.

Principle of Operation

The faces are available with either flat or V-grooved surfaces, and in a range of sizes to accommodate most types of specimen sizes and material types. The 20 and 25 teeth per inch serrations are ideal for, thin, very hard or penetration sensitive materials. Additionally, both jaw faces work well for a wide range of specimen types.
